I like the fact that my chalk is always available. I don't have to look for it. However, these things only last about two or three months, and then the cord breaks. I like them more than any other chalk holder I have ever used, so I just buy another one. It would be nice if they used a thin wire or a tougher cord.

It’s to big for regular size chalk had to put rubber and around chalk cube to make it fit

I was shooting some pool today. I also bought some more chalk at a well known place. I ordered the this holder with the thought of having it on hand. I had it on my keyring and forgot about it until I was at the poolhall and there it was, bam ready for use. Although keeping it on the keychain I find that I happen to sit on it, so I don’t keep it there all the time. Looking for more choices in design for diversity. A joy to use.

I ordered this one to replace a similar retractable-style chalk holder that I used weekly for 5+ years. Initially, my only complaint with this model was that it was awkward/difficult to replace the chalk. Ultimately, a little more than a year after I started using it, the string broke, thus rendering it useless. Definitely not the quality I was expecting and not a particularly good value in my opinion.

Do not purchase this item. Let me list the reasons why: (1) The string that retracts and extends the chalk head is so poorly woven and made that it started shredding in less than a month of use, (2) the housing and inner mechanisms literally broke in to pieces while I was in the middle of a match, and (3) the clip is simply too small to clasp on anything a person ordinarily would wear.The concept is great; and, it was very convenient for the limited time I was even able to use the item.This product is truly garbage and the company should reimburse those of us dumb enough to buy it.

So far, this is perfect. It stays clipped on the cue bag until pool night, then goes on my belt loop. Makes chalking more convenient between shots. Zero problems so far.
