Bought this lighter axe to save my shoulder on limbing trees around my farm. Overall, I'm impressed with this Snow & Neally axe. Fit and finish is decent. A few rough edges and gaps but nothing I'm worried about. I have only used it a couple of times but feel that this would be a great utility axe for camping, limbing, or even some light wood splitting. Stealth is nicely crafted and fits snugly. Would recommend!

Nice small ax, well made, bought it for splitting smaller chunks of fire wood. A little on the light side, but I am not using it to split rounds, have a maul for that.

Great axe. Nice size weight is nice. Had to sharpen it since it came dull but once it was sharp it split logs great

I got this axe because I wanted a decent boys axe for camping and house chores. The grind was uneven and i don't think it could have cut its way out of a wet paper bag until i sharpened it. the lacquer coating on the whole thing is super annoying and the company should stop this. the handle grain seems appropriate but the wood could be better quality or type. I'd probably spend a little more for a hults bruk or husq next time, or get an old head on ebay and rehaft it.underwhelming axe.Update: the handle snapped. Don’t buy this.

I was recommended from a YouTube video, got this because I didn't want to spend an inordinate amount on a Grandsfur... filed a Saber grind, finished with whet stone, took an edge like a razor... sanded the laquer off and oiled the handle... flies through wood processing wood for camp fires; others are envious at camp. Worth every penny excellent quality and value.

I have always wanted and in between axe this great for making starter wood or to pound a falling wedge. It is just one fine looking and feeling axe. Also it is not sharp when you get it i took a fine file and stone to it to give that extra fine edge.

Best axe I’ve ever had. It performs extremely well, has good steel on the axe head, handle grain was lined up about as well as you could ever ask for. I took the coating off the handle cause it can give you blisters from personal experience. That was easy however and all you have to do is apply a few coats of boiled linseed oil to the handle and you’re good.Update*I’ve used this axe extensively and it has never ceased to be impressive. I’ve cut down trees that were bigger around than my waist with this thing (red oak), and this thing worked very well. Still the best axe I’ve ever used or owned.

I remember buying my first Axe as a teenager in Scouts. Yes it was a Snow and Neally, and made in Maine too. Well this axe seems to be of just as good a quality as the first one I purchased, and should no doubt last just as long. This new one needed some work to get the edge where it needed to be, but with file and stone, and a little elbow grease, it is now shaving sharp.
