It has taken awhile to write this review since purchase. That's because we needed to hire an electrician to reconfigure our ceiling light power in the closets we wanted this device. Previous disposable LED light was hard wired into the ceiling and it was obviously more appropriate with a high hat installation.So the positives. It's really bright and can be dimmed. It's brighter than what it replaced which is great in a pantry, supply closet or clothing closet. Plus the white light is better to make sure you pick out the right clothing etc vs a soft yellow light we had before. Installation is a breeze, just screw it into the socket.The issue is the fan. It has three settings. The lowest moves air but probably not as noticeable than the higher settings. Problem with the medium/high settings is the fan wobbles. Then it makes a noise as well as causes creaking noise from high hat set up. I actually mounted a ladder and found one we tried to leave on in medium after trying high for an hour to have loosened in power socket. Since leaving on low the fan device has not wobbled nor has the fan loosened from socket in high hat.

These are a nice replacement for a standard bulb ceiling light. The airflow is pretty decent in smaller rooms with normal ceiling height. Good price for a two pack. Recommended

I got these hoping they would work in my son's room, he has only 3 crank out windows up high on the wall. They just don't let any air in the room! I thought having this Socket Fan in the center of room, would stir up the air a bit to help freshen the place up, as well as give him the added light to be used with the remote controlThing is, I failed to confirm that we had the correct fixtures already in place. You need to have a single straight down light bulb in order for these to work. We of course have ceiling fixtures with 3 bulbs that are definitely not the correct configuration! But I was able to use a fixture at the bottom of our basement stairs to utilize this Socket Fan Ceiling Light. For this area it works great! The way you can change the intensity/color of the bulb light is nice, and there are dual speeds for the fan. On high it wobbled in the light fixture though, and started to make a clicking sound, hence the 3-star rating. The remote works very well, but in my case, I could use the remote to turn on the unit while standing at the top of the stairs, but no way to change it without walking back upstairs. So ideally you would probably want to have the remote right in the area of the unit, which kinda defeats the purpose of the remote-controlled unit. If the clicks can be fixed, I would give these units a 5-star rating, and highly recommend them, they are well priced and do what the description says!

The lights work well and the fans are decent. For my setup we replaced the 4 ceiling lights with these...all together they produce a decent breeze..in fact at times we put it down to the lowest setting. Nice item

I put both of these fans in my garage. They were easy to install and took only about 2 mins. Since they are also socket fans, my wife installed one while I installed the other, as I am the one who does the handy work around our house. These fans are a perfect size, small and compact, but the fan sure does pack a good breeze. This kit included two remotes, but since I have both in my garage, I can just use one remote and save the other as a back up. It has brighten up more in my garage more and I like being able to adjust the light according to the time of day or what I am doing in there. Great value for two!

When I say potent, I say it about both the fan and the light: let's start with the light. When turned to its brightest setting, it is VERY bright, brighter that other products very similar to this one. So much so that I think this product could be beneficial for people with eyesight problems. I say that because I installed one of these two fans in my father's bedroom, now he's got heavy floaters caused by macular deterioration, and he tells me that having this bright light in his room is helping him to see a lot better, even through the floaters. Of course, the light can also be dimmed as opaque as a faint nightlight, and the temperatures can be changed. The remote control is quite easy to understand, and it is also larger than the remotes in other products like this one; which I also think is better for elderly people. The fan is very good too (better than average, like I've been saying) and that is because they are big blades for a light-socket fan, and these are six of them instead of just five. I know this product is pricier than others, but I think it is for good reason. I do recommend.
