This twine holding mechanism is made of heavy duty metal and the finish is king of an oiled bronze look. The snips are cute and convenient and seem to do a good job snipping twine. I was a little skeptical as I put it together, but once I did, I understood why it’s made that way. The top part has a tube that fits in a slightly larger tube that protrudes from the bottom piece. I was thinking it should screw in, BUT in order for the twine spool to move freely, the two pieces need to move fluidly on their own. I think it’s super cute. Will need time to determine more about quality.

I bought this for a birthday gift for a gardener enthusiast. It is very substantial in weight, a good size and extremely convenient to have the twine and scissors readily accessible and all contained together. The twine spool can easily be replaced with a new one when needed. Additionally, the 2-birds perched atop will be appreciated as this person collects small birds. I haven't tried the scissors but they seem fine...hopefully if they need to be sharpened that will be easy. Love this for a gift!!

I don't use kitchen twine very often, but I tire from searching through kitchen drawers to find my little spool of twine that I keep stashed and can never seem to find when I need it. This dispenser is not only functional, but it is very decorative and is always in plain sight.

I’m all ways using twine to tie tall plants up. Easy to find and scissors all in one, just perfect. It looks good to in my garden decor. It is made well and scissors are very sharp.

It is very cute, and highly functional. The scissors are sharp :)However, I feel there may be a problem when it’s time to put in a new ball of string. Only one knob unscrews, the other appears to be welded in place. It will have to be bent to put the new ball of string in, I’m hoping it does not break. If it does not break I hope it can be bent back in a satisfactory way. One thing I know for sure I will not be strong enough to do it, I will have to seek help from my handyman. Otherwise, it’s great! And maybe it’ll be easier then I think to change the string – hope so 🤞🏻

The holder is sturdy and a nice weight and looks attractive on my counter. The scissors that come with it work well. The twine is very coarse and has a strong machine oil smell. I wouldn't use it in the house. It's going outside to tie up my rose bushes. I'll buy a better grade of twine to use in the house.
