As a model railroader working on a winter scene, I needed snow. As I am used to working with woodland scenics products in the past, it was my first thought for realistic snow. The product worked as advertised & after watching one of their videos - I had a great experience with it, and created a very realistic winter scene.

THIS IS AMAZING. It is very lifelike and has a fine powdery snow effect on any dioramas you need to make. It is so realistic and beautiful when sprinkled onto anything. I would buy again if I ever needed snow for a craft project. You could spend a few bucks less to get inferior snow but I think the details are so important to achieve a stunning effect overall. I used this with a spray on scenic cement glue and it worked perfectly. Coat a spray of glue onto the surface you need snow on (use cutouts if necessary to block/aim the glue on certain areas), sprinkle however much snow you need, and then wait and spray a final layer of glue. You can layer as necessary by repeating the steps. Unless you're dropping heavy things on it or scraping it off with your hand, the snow will stay exactly as you dropped it. Wonderful product.

I am a novice model train owner and wanted to build my own tunnel for my setup. After creating the skeletal structure with cardboard, I used gap filler to create a rock like appearance on the surface. For snow I had planned on using cotton, but filling in all of the holes and gaps proved too arduous a task. I bought this product not knowing what to expect. I am very pleased with the outcome. Gently shaking the bottle allowed the flakes to fall and collect in ways that I would expect natural snow to. When I achieved the look I wanted I sprayed the entire area with a clear Elmer’s glue product (had to do several coats where the flakes had collected the most) and it looked better than I had hoped. One bottle went a long way.3/14/21*update- make sure you choose your spray glue wisely- After only about a year , the snow was starting to yellow and Has gotten progressively worse- the snow itself is NOT to blame-I plan on purchasing more of it- I unwittingly purchased Elmers, which I am sure is great for other applications, but I don’t believe is intended for what I used it for- there are other brands (3M i think is one of them) that have a non yellowing feature- I will have to try one of them out since I need to start the whole process over.

If you are making or need snow on a diorama this is what you need. Price is great and it goes a long way. I use it in two ways, I put my glue down thin shake over from a few inches above, let dry and tilt project on side and let loose snow fall on paper so I can reuse it. If I didn't get coverage some where I reapply in that area, if I need more just repeat process. I work in smaller groups and that seems to work best, at least for me. It also works great with Woodlands Flex Paste, when I put down the Flex Paste and get the shape or smoothness I need I just apply my snow on top and do same process as with glue. Can do same with Woodlands Plaster Cloth when it's applied and still wet and drying.

Grazie mille!!!

The snow effect when applied is decent enough. It can look a little odd without some additional tweaks though. Applying a layer of white glue over the final layer of flock will give the snow a slushier appearance.
