Easy to install. Plugged right into doorbell. Battery charge may drop a little on cloudy days but catches back up on sunny days.

This is one of the best products I have ever purchased. I have an original ring doorbell 1. I was ready to throw it away but decided to order this as a last ditch effort. I am so glad I did. Mine was hard wired before I got this. I live in northern Iowa where our lows get to -30. Whenever it gets bitterly cold I would have to take my ring and charge it for a day. Then the battery would only last for maybe a week before I had to repeat even though it was hard wired. With this solar it never needs charged. It is online all the time and the internal battery has never been below 88% even after cloudy days. I am so impressed!

Works great with my Ring Battery Doorbell plus. Note: some reviews say it does not charge. The battery has polarity (+ and -) if you don’t connect the wires from the solar panel with the correct polarity it will not charge. No markings on the Solar panel, but you only have two choices. If it’s in bright sun and does not say capable of charging just switch the wires on the terminals.

To early to tell if it's working or not. Installs easily. Very thin flat cable that plugs inside on back of Ring device. Mine is a 2nd generation. The plug is rounded on one end so be careful trying to shove it in the socket on back. The solar panel is a bit large, so hopefully it will keep it charged. When the Sun is out it says Hard wired but at dark it says battery. I will give it a week and see what it does. So far I charged battery in the house and it is sitting at 95%. I will update review if it doesn't work.

this says it works with ring 2 but it does not. this is a junk. I’m so sorry i bought this and i cannt find the seller info to ask questions. read the comments before you buy this 😩

I have this mounted on my fence powering a Ring doorbell for my gate. We use this so that we know when people are at the gate and we are in the pool. It has always been able to keep the battery at 98%

My door bell is mounted under an over hang so the solar mount wouldn’t work. I was having to recharge the battery every few days. I bought this and it was so easy to connect and I works great! No more battery charging! I made a post mount and it looks great!
