Didn’t really think this through, I got the for our hot tub because our lights stopped working. But the hot tub stays covered so the solar panel is not exposed to the Sun. But I charged it up before placing it in the tub and charge last awhile. Unfortunately the chlorine dispenser part will not work without the top solar panel part so I have to remove the whole unit to charge it again. Plastic of the chlorine dispenser is rather flimsy and I don’t think it is going to hold up to the high chlorine and temperature environment of the hot tub. I guess we will see…this would be better for a pool and not so much for a hot tub

I like that this is dual purpose. It's a chlorine dispenser floater and a pool light in one. The pool light has several modes you can choose from and best of all you can control the lighting via a remote control. The large solar panel on top will recharge the internal rechargeable battery, so no need to replace batteries. The chlorine dispenser can be separated from the light as well.I don't like the chlorine dispenser canister. It feels kinda cheap and flimsy and it can be a little difficult to assemble onto the floating light as well.

The light aspect of this is pretty and seems bright. It turns on easily in relatively low light and holds a good charge. The actual piece that holds chlorine tabs seems very cheap compared to the decorative element. As a decorative float it's a 5 star, but as a floater for dispensing sanitizer, it's more like a 1 or 2.

Yah! Fun little disco party for your pool! Great for those summer BBQs. Love the color cycle it flashes through.

This is a clever way to make a usually boring chlorine tablet dispenser into something more attractive to watch at dark. The chlorine tablet holder at the bottom is assembled from 3 flimsy pieces of plastic. However, once assembled, it feels sturdy and I hope it would last for a few seasons. It can take up to 3 or 4 3-inch chlorine tablets.Make sure to rotate the vents open so it can dispense chlorine to the pool water. My pool is still cold, dirty, and need cleaning. So I am testing this floater late night indoor. The color can be adjusted to stay or rotating colors or white.I ordered another one, because having two is better than one.The solar panel on top of the floater is relatively big which is a good thing.Hopefully, in a clear sunny day it will charge the battery to full and then play its rotating colors at night for a bit attraction on the pool.

Chlorine dispensers are a necessity if you have a pool and, no matter how well they're made the sunshine and chlorine will eventually wear them out. In the past I've expected to replace them on an annual basis but this one looks like it may last more than one complete season. The reason I say this is the solar cells completely cover the top side of the dispenser and it seems like similar solar cells on pol products don't wear out or discolor as rapidly as other plastics. That. and there's a lot to be said for having a little fun with the different colored lights, they're not super bright but they do add a bit of style to the pool. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong.

This solar led light floating chlorine dispenser came in a few pieces, but it was easy to assemble. The dispenser fits 3" chlorine pucks, and will fit about 3 of them. The bottom has an adjustable flow to control how much water enters and dispenses the chlorine. The top of it has the solar panel, which is fairly large compared to some other ones I've tried. The power button is on the top and also has a nice tactile feel to it when you click it on or off. It also comes with a remote that can be used which changes the colors and you can control the brightness and timer if desired. For $20, this is about the same price as my local pool store for a floating chlorine dispenser but this one has the solar panel and LED lights, which you don't get there unless you spend double what this costs. For the price, it's a nice dispenser and the lights add a nice touch at night.

I needed a new chlorine floater for my pool and decided to give this a try.I’m tired of fighting with the chlorine floaters that have a sliding window on the dispenser stem, so I figured I would try this one that has the dispenser the screws into the base. Some small assembly is required, but it isn’t difficult at all.Once assembled I noticed that stem uses a twist and snap in place mechanism rather than a threaded screw mechanism. The twist and snap in place mechanism didn’t always align easily, so I’m not sure how well it will hold up over time. Because the stem isn’t perfectly round the chlorine tabs just barely fit in, but they do fit. The colors stand out at night, though I’m sure I’m going to misplace the remote.
