It is a good workstation for soldering items that require a stable set of helping hands; the base is heavy and has a nice coating. The weight really helps keep your work in one place and the arms are flexible with a decent rubber coating on the alligator clips.

I knocked off one star because one of the magnetic circuit board holders the magnet was damaged and crooked, removing it obviously will damage it further and it did.Otherwise, this is a very nice helping hands soldering tool enables you to solder on circuit boards, especially smaller ones and holds them firmly so you can do the work you need to do. It has an LED ring light with multiple frequencies of light and a nice little magnifying glass so you can actually get close to what you’re doing And see the details.

This is a nice collection of bits and pieces of soldering aides that you can mix and match in many different ways to make it fit into your particular work flow.While you get a bunch of parts to work with, I would point out that like everything else, it is made to fit a price point, which means that the individual parts are not the top quality items you would hope for, but rather, quality that fits the price of the whole collection.The one thing I did not like was the design decision that forces you to screw the flexible arms and light into the metal platform. That severely limits the flexibility -- I've reduced the rating by one star for this. I came up with my own solution for this by putting a magnet on the bottom(see photo), which allows me to fit them anywhere I want on the base plate.Speaking of the base plate, it is a well made piece of steel that is very rigid, which makes me think I could use it for different purposes.

I've needed a set of helping hands when it comes to soldering custom wiring and harnesses. This station adequately does just that along with providing extra light and magnification. The base weight is sufficient without being too heavy and the rubber feet keep it where I need it.

I do a lot of hobby work with electronics and I am always looking for an extra set of hands. This platform provides not only four extra hands but also features an adjustable LED light for seeing your work that’s mounted underneath a magnifying glass which is perfect for my aging eyes. I can now secure my work and move it under the light when soldering and see clearly to ensure I don’t create shorts or bad joints. The LED is adjustable for not only brightness but always color temperature giving the right type and amount of light to you working surface. The anodized base plate is very nice too. The finish is smooth and you get four magnetic posts that are ready to prop up your PCB board to allow an elevated work area and keep the bottom from pushing down on the table preventing broken components. They added a nice little pick-up tool that is perfect for grabbing small SMD’s and other components with a quick press of the back. The LED is USB powered so you can power up conveniently from just about anywhere including in a remote work area such as the garage or even if the field where AC power may not be available just by using a common USB power bank for power.

I’m always having to create a makeshift stand to hold the connectors I’m soldering. I do a lot of repairs and custom orders on mic and signal cables. This is a life saver.
