I order the XXL based entirely on the length of the robe, but I probably should have gone with the XL since it feels a little spacious on me. Maybe I'll fold the back of the neck in a little to cinch up the neck and shoulders a bit. You should consider ALL dimensions before deciding which size is right for you.In any case, the rob fits. It feels like quality material. The sash isn't quite as wide as it looks in the picture, and at over 14 feet long trying to put it on is a bit unwieldy.The beard and wig come as two pieces. The wig is very thick and requires a lot of effort to keep the hair out of your eyes.The shepherd's staff is light plastic but is sturdy enough for a visual prop. It screws together easily.I think the crown of thorns is a bit sacrilegious, since that represents Christ's torture before his crucifixion, unless you're actually performing in a play about the crucifixion. If you feel the same way I do about it, the simple solution is to just leave it off.When I tried the costume on, my wife and kids were amused and thought it looked good.

I got this Jesus costume for the Bible characters day at the kids Read Across America Week at school. Jesus is a crowd pleaser there. The costume is sufficient for multiple years except maybe the staff as it probably will be broken after one or two u ses.The robe is just a giant shrit/tunic style. Not alot to write home about. It's off white, but it almost begs to be rolled in the dirt a little and brushed clean.The sash is very long, even for a full grown man. It required a little attention to knotting it at just the right length.The staff looks super cool, it screws together in sections. It's not strong at all and I just think it's going to be the first piece to crumble. Hollow plastic with a painted surface.The cross is only so-so. It works as a prop.The crown of thorns is a little too poky for use at the school. It's made of plastic with a wire core that has a couple exposed ends that poke pretty hard.The rope belt is sufficient. Also in need of a dirt wash to sell the authenticity, I think.The wig gives me more Maui vibes than Jesus, but it works. The bangs needed trimming to keep out of my face. The moustache/beard is pretty hard to control. I used a little adhesive from another costume to help it stay put.All in all, it works. It's a good price.

Excellent costume. Sizing is accurate and fit is comfortable. Materials and quality is superb except for the “crown.” The crown is just some wiry plastic material that’s not in the shape of a crown, it’s just one long plastic piece that you have to shape yourself and somehow get it to hold in place and retain its shape. The costume works just fine without the crown though. Cool, fun costume. Will randomly walk around on Easter wearing it lol
