The instructions are not very good, they refer to lock washers and nuts when they give you nylon locking nuts. You will need to get 4 lag screws ( I used 5/16 about 3" long) and 4 locking washers, 4 washers. The nuts are built into the cross member board, so I used locking washers (see pic two) on the bolts they provide. I put it up by myself was impressed by it. Had it for a few months now no problems with it, still not very good on it though.

This is a sturdy product but ours didn’t come with any hardware or anything to mount it to the wall. I’m disappointed that we have to go buy the hardware or wait for the company to send them.

Built decently but definitely has vibration compared to the thicker platform board. Swivel is not good quality or a flaw was overlooked in quality assurance. While using as intended the threads broke dropping the bag to the ground. Ordered a different swivel.

Purchased for my wife as Christmas present for our home gym in the basement. I built two wood columns to mount it on. Each column is comprised of two 2x4's screwed together. The columns run from floor to floor joists and are securely fastened to floor joists. I had read about common complaints regarding the importance of the stability of platforms for speedbags. Some people had added a sandbag on top. After mounting to solid columns, I do not think I'll need a sandbag. We are very happy with its current stability. We are not boxers, but enjoy exercise - just got this to add a little something different into our home gym. It's our first speedbag and we are really happy with it. Great price compared to everything else out there. The speedbag itself has a good soft feel and offers nice return. I thought we might need gloves before I bought, but now I don't think that will be necessary. Also, all the other speedbags that I looked into were so expensive and I didn't want to spend all my Christmas budget on one gift. This is a great product for the price. Highly recommend.

I am very please with this speed bag unit so far, and it can be adjusted in height easily. I installed it in about two hours taking my time. As you can see from the photos, I installed an additional round wood base (from Home Depot for $32) to reduce the vibrations and increase the stability. I had to get longer lag-bolts (3-1/2 inch) to go through both wood bases, and that was easy to do. I did look at other speed-bag units that cost more, however, I wanted to save some money because I am purchasing more training equipment and have to budget myself. I gave it 5 stars because so far it is holding up well and I had my nephew who is a retired pro-boxer try it out and he was pleased with it. So, if you are looking for a speed-bag unit, I would recommend this for the cost as well as the quality...Cheers.

This should have taken 1 hour install but took over 2 hours because of no real instructions. Also no mounting hardware, I had to go out to purchase the hardware. Why sell something with no instructions and no mounting hardware.
