Adjusting a compound bow requires using a bow press. It is an indispensable tool if you want to install and adjust a new bare compound bow as a bowmaster.

The main function of a bow press is that by applying a certain amount of pressure to the bow limb, the bow reaches the state of being drawn open and the bowstring is loosened. Archery alloy bow accessories are used when tuning a compound bow that has been mounted with certain accessories, such as peep sight, bowstrings, cables and dampeners.

Installation Steps

Remove the fixed clip, rubber, and roller from one end of the bow press in sequence.

Then put it on the bow limb. Install the roller, rubber, and clip in that order. Same for the other side.

Attach the strap, press the handle, and you're ready to draw the bow.

Pressing until the bowstring is loose makes it easy to up/down string and tune the bow.

After use, loosen the screws to avoid damage to the bow by loosening too quickly.

After a certain amount of loosening, lift up on the black button to release the press.

Need to disassemble and lube everything that moves. Soft steel and dry threads is a disaster waiting to happen.

Works great as an alternative to a real press. There is one very important thing they forgot. The stainless turn buckle must be unscrewed and a nice coating of anti seize lubricant on the threads. If not you will be lucky to get one use out of it.

It was a pain in the butt trying to get it released, but when it finally did release it snapped back. I’ve been trying to do it slowly, but as soon as it hits the release it rockets out. Cuts on my hand too.
