This frozen dessert maker attachment works really well on my KitchenAid. I poured in some frozen fruit on top and turned it on and let it run. It churned out such a smooth, velvety, frozen delight that I was very happy with the best thing is to use frozen fruit so that you get that frozen dessert that you want. I’m really happy with this attachment and if you like frozen desserts, this would be a really good one to have as long as you have a KitchenAid to attach it to.

Well, I quickly read some of the recipes in the enclosed pamphlet and they said to put the pistachio nuts in first and there was another recipe that said you could mix and chocolate, so I put in both chocolate and pistachio nuts first followed by the fruit and it completely blocked and jammed the exit. What a mess that ensued! I then still had some semi frozen fruit remaining and I proceeded to try again and this time I successfully made a sorbet.I am impressed that for less than $10. this has actual metal parts instead of an all plastic piece of junk. It does the job but I still have some chunky fruit but I kinda like that. Not sure how much it’s worth it for me due to all the cleanup, but maybe if I make it without a disaster, I might like it better. I do think this is a very reasonable price so you can try it out for yourself just don’t put in nuts and chocolate, especially in the beginning. I would mix those in at the end in your bowl or container because your sorbet is going to be a soft set consistency.EDIT: I decided to give this a fresh try on a new day. I put in a frozen banana, strawberries and blueberries. I first cut up the banana and strawberries to bite-sized chunks. I put it through the hopper and everything went smooth as silk....NO MESS and in fact, all the parts went into the dishwasher (except the rubber gasket on the outer ring which I removed)I was VERY happy with the results and I then added some mini chocolate chips and nuts and easily mixed them into the fresh sorbet. I put the sorbet into the freezer to set firmer for an hour (personal preference) I will ONLY use ALL fruit going forward and any add-ins will be manually added at the end.I did find that this is super TALL and awkward to use if placed on a counter. This latest try, I put my kitchen-aid mixer on a chair instead and the height was so much easier to manage. Also, there will be some product remaining inside on the shaft, but when dissembling, you can scrape that off and into your main mixture.Putting on the outer ring was a bit clumsy, but it will tell you on the side which way to turn to lock and which direction to turn to unlock. After a few tries, you will get the feel of it. I just increased my review to 5 stars, as with doing it correctly....it actually was easy, fun and produced a nice result. I will now comfortably use this often!

I am very happy with this Frozen Desert Stand Mixer Attachment. It simply works incredibly. Put your frozen stuff in and out flows perfect frozen desert. Simple, easy and yes, fun (especially for the grandkids.)The device is remarkedly well made, constructed with heavy duty plastic, and rivals any of my brand name stand mixer attachments. It assembles in seconds, works wonderfully, and is easy to disassemble & clean.I mix 2 cups of yoghurt with 2 cups of pureed or mashed fruit, along with the appropriate sweetener, freeze it in a flat bottom container, then cut it into strips and put into this device. What comes out is pure perfection.Definitely a great product that will be getting a lot of use in our house as the summer begins. Easily earns a 5 star rating and my full recommendation.

Attaches easily to attachment port. Looks as pictured. I want sure if this would work since I have an instapot mixer not kitchen aid but it fit perfectly. I used fully frozen fruit on medium setting. Next time I'll try higher unless I'm defrosting the fruit. I used peaches and while it made sorbet, it was a little chunky. This could be fun me using medium instead of high. Regardless made a frozen treat.

I am impressed with how smooth my frozen fruit comes out. I love the fact that this easily attaches to my KitchenAid. I am excited to try each of the recipes that come with the booklet inside the package. The only reason I gave this a three star review is because of how hard I have to push the frozen fruit into the device to come out. I had to push so hard that I felt like the device was going to detach from the KitchenAid. Other than that it's a great product.

This worked well and was great fun! We made banana/dragonfruit ice cream and this was super easy to use. I also liked that I could put everything in the dishwasher afterwards. They include different heads so you can change the shape of the ice cream coming out. Afterwards we re-froze what we made and froze it so we can scoop the rest out with an ice cream scoop.

I'm not sure why at the time of purchase this is priced around $10 while others are at least twice that, but based on the quality of the parts, I would never have guessed. The parts that attach to the mixer and grind up the fruit are thick and heavy and feel like decent quality. It fit and worked fine with my KitchenAid Artisan mixer. My kids and I mixed frozen bananas and strawberries and it was surprisingly easy and good. I was able to wash most of the parts in the dishwasher but everything is kind of big and bulky to store. This was surprisingly good for the price.

Very happy to have found this attachment-I really like pineapple sherbet and have not found it in any of the local markets. Very easy assembly and clean up as well. I use purchased ice cream container to freeze the sherbet as (per instructions) the fruit was not as firm straight from the sorbet maker.
