For hard hitters this is perfect if you would like to break a stick every 2-3 songs, you get what you pay forOverall decent sticks but I havent seen so many shards of wood around my drum kit

Much quieter stick. You may have to work a little harder to get the volume but if a quiet stick is what you want, use these maple sticks

Even though they are "maple" drumsticks, I've broken 3 already during 2 practices. Broke 2 on one song last week and one last night. The sticks even feel good and light in my hands, seem to be constistently straight so far, but will not buy again.
