This set includes everything to start sourdough. I love how thick the glass is and the shape of it.The rubber band to track feeding days was very helpful for someone older and more forgetful. I didn't use the thermometer band though I am sure others may like it. I have my own digital thermometer in that area.The one thing I did not like and felt like it was just an add-on to round things out, was the spatula. It came with the silicone part off to be pushed onto the handle. I ended up using my spatula. But all in all, it worked great for me and I will continue to use it.

This is a good sourdough starter set. The dishwashable jar is convenient and plenty big enough to hold enough starter to make probably five loaves of bread. A silicone lid is provided to use when the starter is in your refrigerator, and a breathable cloth lid is perfect during feedings. The included thermometer strip is okay, but I wish it had more granularity in its readings; a gap of three or four degrees is pretty wide. The elastic feeding band not only allows you to mark the level of the starter, but you're also able to keep track of your feeding time. And the spatula allows you to scrape the side of the jar, although I have another spatula that I prefer.Overall the set is easy to use, includes the things you need, and is priced in line with similar products. Recommended!
