These are exactly perfect to weigh down bags so they remain totally immersed during sous vide cooking.

I use these mostly to make sous vide pulled pork. They seem to be adequate to hold the meat down into the water bath by themselves, but I usually add a piece of chainmail over the outside of the bag for added insurance. I definitely like these for sous vide cooking of meat that has a tendency to float.

The weight seems adequate, each has a hole in the end and there are two included metal rings for attaching them to a rack in your cooking container. The weights are sealed inside some kind of heavyweight plastic material that appears pretty strong as far as resisting cracks and holes being put into it. These are sold for use in sous vide water cookers to help hold light weight items like vegetables submerged in the hot water for cooking. I'd say they were worth the money these weights are long and thin like a fat pencil instead of short and stout like a big eraser, you see both styles for sale. I'd rather have these because they're likely more versatile in the long run and can be used both inside or outside the cooking bag with the food item. Used these in a cook outside the bag they stayed put and didn't try to slide off or move around, satisfied with them.

Had some sous vide weights slightly smaller/lighter than these; work OK, but not all the time. These weights are heavier and still fit and work inside the vacuumed packages.

I have been cooking . Sous Vide for a couple of years and never had proper weights. Finally bought these and realized I should have had them from the beginning. Pop a couple in the bag and no floating issues. Great product.

Gevoli Sous Vide Weights work....they do exactly like the description said they would....and they are very easy to wash. We decided to hand wash them to make sure nothing sharp touches them by using a little detergent the oil / butter washes off easily, give them a quick dry and they are already for next time.... Brilliant!!!!

These weights make sous vide cooking even easier than before - you can quickly remove air from the bag by the air-displacement method (skipping the need for vacuum seal equipment), with confidence that your food will stay submerged. We've found 1 weight works well for food in a 1-quart zipper bag, while at least 2 are required for a gallon-sized bag.The weights are easy to clean but require attention around the clip hole and stamped cover lettering to ensure complete cleanliness.Overall - we're very pleased.
