It's a good filter, but it's a good idea to rinse it first. When I installed mine, I got a bunch of filter fuzz floating around the spa. If it was pre-washed first, this would not be a problem.

While testing the water in my hot tub today I noticed there was no water being pulled into the skimmer thru the filter. I put in the previous filter I had cleaned and the water circulation was fine. I put this filter back in and the same thing happened, no flow was being allowed. It's only been in use about 3 weeks, so it is not dirty. I will not buy again.02/23/24 - Update: Was contacted and offered a replacment. I agreed and when it arrives I will install and test, then update review.03/13/24 - Update: Did receive filter and installed. Has been in use for 2 weeks and seems great! I have been real impressed with their attention and customer service. Thanks!

Old filter had not been replaced in a long time. Now the water flows strong. These filters may be sprayed-off a few times before needing to be replaced.More affordable than ordering from our pool supply.
