I have been delving in to the world of water colors and wanted a way to gift my paintings. These mats will add stability to the paintings and add a little touch of elegance. So they are perfect for that.For photo frames they work fine (see attached photo). The cut is true to size. I ordered the 5x7 which is perfect for my 4x6 photos. The bevel is smooth and perfectly cut. They are a tad thin compared to more expensive mats.Finally, know that the black is a soft black. More like a dark charcoal color.In the end, these are a great value and I am happy to have them for my paintings and to enhance a few photo frames around the home.

These are good basic precut mats. Just know that the openings are not full 5 inches X 7 inches (actual opening size is 4.5x6.5). There is no backing board included and no clear covering either. These are just the mat frames. But if that's all you need these should work for you.

I ordered these in the navy blue (I wish I could have gotten the white but they were unavailable) and was kind of disappointed when I opened these to find that each and every one had these odd rows of shadowy marks (multiple streaks) on one end and some also in random spots, I thought at first they were long streaky finger prints but my own hands left no prints so it wasn’t that. Wiping with a soft dry cloth didn’t remove them but if I buffed the mat I could get it so that it is usable but considering the amount of blue that came off onto my dry rag I know I compromised the color quite a bit. I am annoyed at the issue and would have returned them immediately but we are unable to return items in the Vine program.

These are well made frame mats of a high quality material. The bevel is nice and smooth on the inside edge cut. The red color is so vibrant. I was very happy to see these were a true red, not a faded, pinkish, or orange-ish shade, as I have had issues with getting true red in the past. This 10 pack is a great value at under $15. They are not too bulky when adding to prints or photo frames. I plan to use them to frame holiday prints and photos for Christmas, Valentine's, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.

These 5” x 7“ mats are exactly what I need for my vintage postcards. I have a group of ancestor’s photographs on my wall. When possible, I like to find a postcard from the place and time period they lived. I then pair it with their photograph. The black mats ensure continuity. I like the quality, the thickness, and the beveled edge. The ad states that they are acid free, which is one of the reasons I wanted them. I don’t see anything indicating that they are acid free, so I’ll just have to hope that they are. The price is excellent for a set of 10 mats.
