You need these to correct the camber/ caster on your axle. You will need to take pretty much everything apart to be able to spin them out. When installing only turn the collar down so it's just flush with the housing or slightly under.

They work really well for correcting that positive camber that they put into the full-width Dana 44’s. Pro tip: buy the ball joint Spanner! I thought I could just notch a 3/4” socket. I about ruined one of these because I like like doing things the hard way! Trust me! I make my own specialty tools all the time. Buy the Spanner!

Okay, technically yes. Somehow I found myself in need for these on my old square body front 10 bolt. Here's the takeaway.Pro:They did correct my 1.5 degree camber issue.Cons:They are made from a low grade, and I mean low, steel. They deformed on first install. (The flanges for the spanner tool)One ear broke off setting initial torque.I'm pretty sure they are going to rust like a motherYou can't actually set initial torque on these. The way they are made you either fix you're issue or torque them. You can't do both. When I tried to torque them in the one just broke an ear off and the other rounded the tabs. I figured I would get the torque close but these things do not want to be over torqued. They push the axle shafts so far in you're going to have to pull the dust shields off. So plan on tearing to all the way down.So in closing, Your Honor, if you can I'd work on fixing your actual issue before relying on these. I'm 98 percent certain that I'm going to sacrifice my lower ball joint over using these.

After installing larger tires on my 1974 Jeep CJ 5 with Dana 30 front axle I noticed that I had about 1-1.5 degrees of positive camber. These inserts with washers worked great to offset the upper ball joint so as to correct camber to zero. Note: these work for adjusting only camber, or only caster angle. I tried to set the offset in such a way to compensate for both camber and caster adjustments, and doing so caused a bind in my front axle shaft. Once I rotated the offset to serve either camber or caster angle, the axle shaft operated correctly. I am using these sleeves to correct camber, and I will then use spring perch wedges to correct caster angle. A great product and simple to install. I did have to dissemble my hub down to the knuckle to install correctly, as I could not get the split sleeve to thread properly without removing the upper ball joint from the axle "C." This also enables me to tighten the lower ball joint to the proper torque settings. It took me about 45 minutes per side to install the new parts.
