I have a record player that connects to a little amp and some older Pioneer speakers that just have red and black speaker wire. These were super easy to install on the wires so I could connect them to the amp. I only needed enough for 2 speakers, so that's why I didn't buy one of the packs with a dozen for a dollar more, so if you need more than 4 connectors I can't say these are better than what you get in the large packs, but these did a great job for what I needed.

Pretty easy to install, even on 14 gauge cable. Be aware that these have three unscrewable parts...the base, the body and the male plug portion. Take care that the male plug is securely tightened before you plug these in.

Solid and well-made, these banana plugs assure a consistent interface between amplifier and speaker. This is particularly important where speaker balance is an issue in multi-speaker systems. However, the double clamp-down screws are not easy to align properly; patience is required.

The product works well and offers two tensioning screws to secure the wire. However, if you are using a thick gauge wire, the inside tensioning screw (when tightened) will be flushed, allowing the cover to be screwed back on, but the second screw will not. Therefore, four stars.
