I was looking for an inexpensive set of stands for speakers in our test system for a new pair of stand mount speakers. The stands arrived intact with no issues. I see others have complained about no markings for where the screws go. They are there just covered with the vinyl finish. Rub you finger over it and you will see all screw locations.I needed a much sturdier stand so I immediately did away with the bottom platforms and turned them into a mini stand for my two piece DAC. By the way, if you have carpeting, the stock feet will be worthless. You need something with points. The bottom plates are from a pair of stands I bought 15 years ago. It’s heavy steel and one weighs more than the whole box of the new stands did. I made 1-1/2” thick insert and glued it into the bottom of the up-risers that holds the securing bolt. They are now very sturdy even before I fill with Microbearing Steel fill by Sistrum Components. The stands would be okay for a mid-fi system. Take some time to apply some glue to inner joints so you can fill them and if you have carpets, get some nice spikes that will go through your carpet to the floor and you can have a decent stand. Not to bad for the money but not a high end stand in stock form.

The way to screw the pieces together was not obvious. There are four predrilled holes on both ends of the stands. The base and top screw onto the stand. There are predrilled holes on the base and top but they are hidden by the pleather coating. I measured where they should be with a ruler and that was when I found the holes by pressing on those locations. Once located I just pushed the screws through and then screwed them into the stands. Also you need to look at the directions to see the orientation of the base and top. It's really easy once you realize the holes are actually predrilled and can be felt with your finger tip. They are the corners of a four inch square.

I was a little reluctant to buy these stands because others have stated the difficulty assembling them. I do not consider myself very "handy", yet I had little trouble putting these stands together. Once I traced my hands over the surface and found the indentions for the supplied screws, I was on my way. I filled the stands with sand to give them extra support and I used a little grease on the screws to make it easier to drive. I love the way they look, they are very sturdy, and overall a good value. My speakers weigh 13# apiece and these stands have no problem supporting them. Highly recommend.

These speaker stands are well constructed and the pre drilled holes are in the right place making it easy to put together. They are not as nice or well built as the Edifier stands, but they are a value purchase at over $100 less. I find these easy to recommend as they are attractive and sturdy.

Many of the available stands have around an 8"x8" space to put the speaker on, which is too small for my Edifiers. However they fit *beautifully* on these stands, with a 9.25" x 7.28" top platform. There isn't much in the way of assembly instructions, but it's not hard to figure out. Make sure you feel around for the holes under the thin platforms, and then use your thumb to depress the holes so that you can see them easily. Then put the screws through, and the push or screw them enough to poke out just a little bit on the other side. Then you can carefully align them on the holes in the post, and finally screw them in. Don't go crazy screwing them in with too much torque. Just enough to feel some added resistance at the end. They will go a little below flush. They came with really nice brass, adjustable feet that you screw in the bottom. Those don't show up at all in the scant instructions, but it's obvious where they go. They work very well in leveling the stands on uneven surfaces. The stands came with stick-on foam pads for the top (four small) and bottom (four large) that I didn't use at all. The brass feet take care of the bottom, and my speakers have perfectly good feet to go directly on the top. I haven't put the cable ties on yet, but I likely will, just to clean up the look a little.Overall they are heavy, solid, stable stands (even without filling them with sand), look great, reasonably priced, and fit my speakers. I'm happy.
