It works but as you can see from the picture the clip that sits on the flange doesn't fit well due to it being 3 times as thick as the original.

It was an easy replacement this new heater core is built really well it is made of aluminum and i feel it was better then the stock heater core. My cabin warms up really nice now.

Purchased this for a 1998 Toyota Camry. Although it states it would fit, the longer tube is a little longer than the original core, so it took us a little longer to get it to fit. But it did eventually fit and is working well.

I'm giving this product four stars because it didn't come with the copper tubes, which lead out of the cab, and it is very easy to warp or damage those if you apply slight force to them with a wrench.Some people wonder if they should choose copper or aluminum . I chose aluminum because my radiator is aluminum, as well as parts of my engine. I figure it can handle the heat. Also, every radiator I have seen has been aluminum, regardless of coolant brand, so I figure that is a standard; however, the heater core I pulled out of the cab (at 144,000 miles) was copper, as were the heater pipes. So, if you want what is already in your car, copper is the way to go.I can see what people said about having trouble getting it to fit, but it fit very easily once I saw how the dash was molded. While installing, slide it all the way towards the front and center as you are sliding it in and not in the middle of the grooves or toward the hood of the car. If you do not press it all the way against the back groove, it will not slide all the way inward, as apart of the heater core will hang out, or if you slide it toward the cab, you won't get the clips to connect.If you follow my instructions, it will fit, easy.When installing, do not try to pry the copper pipes out from under the hood to loosen it. You have a good chance of warping or crushing the tube, if you do that, as the copper is not that strong. When ready to disassemble, take your left hand and put it on the copper pipe, and take your right hand and grab it by the fitting near the o-ring and slide out. Focus on the connection and tug them apart, and they will slide apart, easy.Also, don't forget to remove the little baggy with the o-rings on it. I looked everywhere for mine before I realized they were still attached to the heater core. It is nice that they included those, but I really wish they included the pipes.

I have had mixed results with other Spectra products in the past, but I am happy to say this 94800 heater core was a near perfect fit for a 97 Camry.New o-rings were included and the original piping connected without trouble. Currently leak free and working well.Will update if it springs a leak anytime soon, until then it's five stars for this product.

When I first bought this heater core, I was not sure what I was going to get, but to my surprise this is a quality unit. It was easy to install and it works great. Another great blessing on top of the great quality is the great price that I paid. You cannot lose with this item.

I ordered this heater core because mine had went out in my 1997 Toyota Camry. It works wonderful.. this is a great product for the price. My heater gets really hot now... couldn't ask for a better price or a better product. Most people wanted $115 and up... So, I got this at steal... and received my product in three days.
