This is unit but you do have to pay attention to the inlet and Outlet flanges prior to installation. One of my flanges was slightly dinged and I had to straighten it out else the clamps would have not went completely around it and there would have been a leak.In addition the new seals are very good however make sure that your Inlet and Outlet piping has got everything cleaned off of it and I like to use Vaseline to lubricate the seals else they will grab the aluminum and you'll never get it to seat correctly.

I ended up returning this product because the connection holes were poorly aligned, and the overall quality (coating, assembly) seemed very low quality. I ultimately bought a heat exchanger from a site that carries parts for European cars.

I have used this core on both of our audi's with great success. HOT hot heat now. the supplied fittings are of high quality however I would suggest getting longer screws for the clamps as its difficult to get them to thread without the extra length.

Took me two days to get this installed and about 6 hours to complete the replacement. Most of it was due to difficulties clamping in the hose to the core together.Tips- get the oem clamp and washer from Audi. It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Cost me about $30. I was lucky and did not need them. The washer that came with the core was the same size and I reused the old clamp.- remove your brake and clutch (if you have one) sensor(s). This will help get the old core out and new one in easier.- if you have a clutch, push it down during the install. Don't try to force it if it won't go in- get 2 replacement screws for the clamp... 4mm about 3/4 or 20mm long. This will help get the screw threaded before you need to clamp it down- don't use pliers on the hose and core to try to connect them... if you do be very careful. The core is aluminum and well bend super easy. Make sure you use tape on the plier if you're going to do it anyways- get a long 1" wide strap. I use the orange harbor freight one. Wrap the strap around the hose and adjusted to a spot where you can still tighten the clamp, have a second person pull the strap to connect the hose to the core. This method took me about 5 minutes on each clamp... after about 5 hours with no success any other way.- get some thick cardboard and/or towels and lay it on the ground. Your knees will thank you for it.- You might need coolant. I lost very little coolant. Topping off with distill water was good enough for me.Good luck!!!

Fit just like OEM, makes good heat, bonus for being all-aluminum construction. No leaks.Tech tip: get OEM clamp/gasket kit from Audi/VW dealer. The clamps and gaskets that come with this heater core are junk.

Bought one of these and when it arrived one of the pipe fittings was damaged. Looked like it had been dropped from a height. Packaging was not damaged so obviously was damaged before being packaged but was still sent. Started a return and received a replacement. Arrived quickly but when I opened the package this one was damaged too. Pipe fittings were rough and jagged and it had damaged fins on both sides. Quality control non existent.

Works great. Installed in less than an hour on a 2003 A4, heat is nice and HOT again. Will fit b6 and b7 models.Tip: do not use the orings provided in the kit. They’re to big and it will be almost impossible to get the hose connection re fitted. Reuse the old ones or buy these directly from the dealer.For the price, can’t beat it.
