I bought this controller for some retro gaming on the PC. The build quality is great and very solid. My only gripe is that diagonal movement is difficult. If your movement is left, right, up or down, then this is a pretty good choice. The controllers of years gone by were more flexible. I will say it takes a little getting used to with the 2 buttons and large base. You will feel some hand strain, and I have big hands.

Works fine with C64 mini but didn't find this that much better than the C64 mini joystick. It's still chunky and thick, heavy and it's loud in operation. Compared to the original old Competition Pro joystick, this feels more sluggish and clicks are not dampened here.It does work right away unlike many other controllers (although editing controllers DB can be done to add more controllers support). I'm using now just original controller with a 2nd wireless Atari 2600+ controller which I find more comfortable but does require manually editing controllers DB though which isn't that easy.

It worked with most games but was purchased in hopes it would work well with an Amiga emulator and we found it didn't so it was returned.

Perfecto para juegos retro en los que para cada movimiento del personaje en pantalla tienes que apretar una tecla del teclado o un movimiento click del joystick.Pros:- Aspecto retro ideal.- Solidez más que decente.- Incorpora una licencia para bajarte un paquete de juegos “remasterizados” de los antiguos juegos tipo Arcade. Viene en una hoja suelta del manual de instrucciones.Contras:- Si lo que buscas es un joystick para juegos de movimiento fluido, este no es tu joystick. Este tiene movimiento click derecha, click derecha, click derecha para desplazar al personaje tres posiciones a la derecha. Con un solo click derecha el personaje no se desplaza más que una posición por mucho que sigas inclinando el pomo.- Trae patitas algo deslizantes. No ventosas. Se soluciona con un posavasos o salvamanteles pequeño de goma/silicona.

Works with Retroarch. Just have to figure it. Takes 3 minutes. Works perfectly with all retro games. Solid product. This thing will last for decades.

Plug n play on Linux Ubuntu, works wonder with the AmigaLive app. Stick is a bit stiff, so be warned. Turbo is really fast, great stuff. Well worth the price.

It’s all in German, and even when I used Google translate it said I needed an internet connection even though I was connected to internet, said I needed to download 7 different programs to get it to work. Too much of a hassle.

The first thing that surprised me was the shear size and rugged build. It dwarfs an Atari 2600 joystick. I noticed in the product description that it was designed for PC and Android, but my thought was that if the bindings were set up for Atari to USB, it should work on a MAC assuming the emulator supported it.With VICE (C64 Emulator) for MAC setup, I only had to go into preferences>settings>inputs> and setup the input #1 with the dropdown menu where you will see some options and "Game Controller for Android". Choose that one and you are done. Remember to save settings.Worked like a charm. I went right into the Choplifter game it worked flawlessly. The only one thing I will say, and it not necessarily a negative, but be prepared for the tightness of the stick itself. The switches inside must be gargantuan as it takes more then a passing flicker to move the stick around. This I am sure will wear down over time, but just be prepared. I absolutely love it!!

Great for C64 games on the PC. Rapid fire built-in, can be switched off if not wanted. Ambidextrous, fits right and left hand equally well.

Just plugged it into Windows 7 and it recognized it immediately. It works flawlessly on every application, including DosBOX, WinUAE (Amiga emulator), X64 (C64 emulator) and MAME (Arcade emulator).The build quality seems pretty good and has nice click switches. Some game types may require a different kind of stick, but overall, for arcadey gaming it's perfect.

Il prodotto si presenta in tutto e per tutto identico all'originale, pur non avendolo mai personalmente posseduto negli anni 80. La sensazione trasmessa dai microswitch, sempre precisi e dal classico rumore che producono, uniti alla robustezza e all'immediatezza d'uso ne fanno un must per gli appassionati di retrogaming. Compatibile con tutti i sistemi operativi, sia su mobile che desktop / notebook e configurabile con qualsiasi applicativo di emulazione console e computer da gioco. Dotato di interruttore autofire, cavo decisamente comodo e lungo, 4 tasti di fire indipendenti fra loro e diagonali impeccabili. Il rapporto qualità / prezzo poi è impareggiabile. Definitivo.

Ordered this as wanted to have an authentic experience using WinUAE and WinVice64. I have an Amiga and use my Zipstik or Competition Pro with it.. and at first I tried to find an adapter that would allow me to use these joysticks on my laptop.. However, I saw the new and improved version of the Speedlink USB Competition pro and thought I'd give it a go.It arrived in a lovely little box.. the joystick is sturdy and nicely made.. most important, though, it has the satisfying click of a high quality microswitch joystick.. in fact, I was surprised at how hardy it was.. as I am used to the loosened-over-time joysticks I own for my Amiga. I plugged it in and it recognised right away (Windows 10 64-bit) and it came up as an option under controllers in WinUAE and WinVice.Using it is a dream.. it functions perfectly and is SOOOOOOOOOooooo much better than using either keyboard or an Xbox 360 controller. It also has 4 INDEPEDENT buttons, meaning you can play modern, retro styled indie games too!It also comes with 20 free games.. a code is provided to download them from the Speedlink site. I have not done this yet so can't comment on their quality, but they look like graphical revamped versions of classics like trailblazer and IK+.If you want a classic joystick for your PC then this is the answer!!
