When connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, a Smart battery's unique parameters, health, and balancing information upload automatically from its memory microchip through the IC3 or IC5 connector's data wire. Really nice battery and charger. I love that it's a gen 2 battery. It auto-discharges, so you don't damage the battery in storage with a full charge, and it no longer requires the battery to have a separate charging/ballast cable. It kind of takes care of itself. Works nicely with a lot of RC aircraft. I haven't used it much, but the two flying sessions I had with it were great. Long life and more power than I needed. Pretty standard equipment, everybody uses these, and they're obviously well built. No surprises there. Def recommend.

They last long, are very durable, and have a safety system that made me less nervous when i was first getting into rc, they being said, i wish they included a better cable capable of the high charging speeds that the battery is rated for.

I've bought 3 batteries before without issues. This one that came in the kit doesn't have a balance lead and one of the cells is swollen (opposite end of cable) upon opening the box. Will be returning.
