Very well built product good welds and seals properly don’t forget new gaskets I went with the felpro rubber gasket kitOnly problem I faced was they did not fit my application without modification I had to tig weld a recessed bung in to the front of the cover to clear one of my alternator mounting bolts

I've got a 454 with Roller Rockers, the old valve cover was not big enough , i needed more clearance, these are very nice . They have 1/4" thick bases, no more warping and lealing between bolts

These are very well made aluminum big block valve covers. They're the taller valve cover so they will clear rolling rockers.I like the aluminum machine work and haven't seen any flaws. They line up nicely on stock big block Chevy heads and I even tested them on a set of aluminum heads I had; they fit perfectly. If clearance is an issue with the brake booster you're going to need to go with a lower profile valve cover, because these will not fit. That's normal on tall valve covers. Someone needs to make an affordable mid-range cover in my opinion.Good value- would recommend.

There are pretty much 3 "tiers" of valve covers in the BB Chevy arena. There are your cheap stamped steel valve covers that run around $30 or $40, there are expensive machined valve covers that cost northward of $200+, and right in the middle of there you have the "mid-tier" valve covers, where the real value is to be found. This is a beautiful set of mid-range BB Chevy valve covers. The TIG welding work on these is actually surprisingly good. The gasket surface looks nice and uniformly ground, they sit FLAT (big plus for valve covers, lol), all the baffles are in place and everything seems well put together. I may even end up anodizing them, as they sure would look nice in "anodized aluminum red", or maybe even a "black chrome" look would be nice. They come with bolts, as well, which is a nice touch in this price range. All in all, this is a killer set of rocker toppers that will look sweet on your rat mill and may save you enough pennies to put towards a nice set of roller rockers to go under them. There's no reason to spend $250-$350 on a set of machined valve covers when these beauties can be had for a C-note.
