I bought this swimming pool ground cover because I needed something durable besides tarp. It shipped quickly, but the material that it is made of really surprised me. It's a white cloth that reminds me of a giant blanket or quilting batting or something. I used it over top of my grass, then I put my pool solar cover over top of it to hopefully protect the ground cover from decay and rot. I was worried about it falling apart. Fast forward three monthes. I took down my pool for the winter, hung up my soaking wet and heavy ground cover to dry over top of the swing set for a couple days. The ground cover killed my grass, protected my swimming pool, and worked as it should. It's so big that I don't think that it will ever fit in a washing machine. Unfortunately, it stinks like manure and rotten grass after laying under my pool all summer. That's okay though, even though it was costly, it still is a bigger circumference than my actual pool itself which is great. It works as it should. Hopefully it will last forever! I recommend!

Bought this years ago. Still in top shape and it’s still has its amazing softness and protection under the pool. I don’t think this thing will ever die.

A little thin. Put over existing underpad.

This item was thinner than I would have liked, but seemed to be strong enough. It did cover the bottom of the 18 foot pool with some to spare. It does make the bottom of the pool liner feel smooth and soft to walk on. Only time will tell how well it holds up.

Biggest waste of money. It is a thin sheet to place on the ground. After a month I had to drain and reset the pool due to sharp spots under the liner and pad. When we moved everything, there were weeds that were growing under and through the "pad." Mind you there is no actual padding. I purchased work out tiles (thick foam material) per a friends suggestion and have not had any issues since. I purchased my Gorilla sheet back in June and it lasted less than a month. I spent over $100 for less than a month. I spent about the same on my home gym flooring and have not had any issues in several months. I would not recommend this product at all. It is falsely advertised and a huge waste of money.

It's ok - but not what I was expecting. The product description is really inadequate. Its a thin, white, synthetic felt-like material. Doesn't seem like it really provides much of any padding. The white color really makes it stand out - and not in a good way. Would be better as a less obvious sand color or perhaps brown. Because it is a fibrous felt-like material - everything - leaves, dirt, etc. sticks to it.Probably would not order it again - not what I was expecting or thinking it would be.

Best Money ever spent on the pool...really anyone with an intex above ground pool will love this and you really do NEED it!!! Last year we put up an 18' x 52'' intex pool...had sand (we thought was clean) brought in...had lots of small to medium rocks and trash in it...had planned to leave the pool up all winter and winterize it (too much trouble to take down and put up) but..the bottom/floor of the pool was horrible...bumpy, sharp rocks etc protruding...some areas we actually marked so we would not step on them in the pool for fear of hurt feet or slashed liner...took the pool down at the end of last summer, stored it...worked on getting some of the rocks and crap out during the year...too much trouble to haul all of the sand away...so we did the best we could to get out the trash...Before we got ready to set up the pool this year I heard about the "Gorilla Floor Pad"...did a little research and decided to order it...Got it in a couple of days from Amazon...put the pool up the first of June and the liner works GREAT!!! not only is the bottom smooth, soft and cushy...there is not a crease at all on the pool floor...Have had lots of comments about how good the bottom of the pool feels...I really didnt think the Gorilla Pad would work that well...but it sure fooled me...I love it!!!

This is a great upgrade for the bottom of your pool! It’s not thick, but it does add a layer of protection that gives you piece of mind. I laid my 18’ Gorilla Pad on top of a layer of ¾” foam board. The combination of the 2 resulted in an outstanding bottom. Firm with a soft feel. I cut the foam board out under each post and inserted a 12” concrete paver. I then laid the Gorilla Pad over the whole thing. It pulled tight and smoothed out perfectly. The pad is actually 3 pieces flawlessly sewn together to make one big pad. I have an 18’ Intex pool and you can see by the picture that the 18’ Gorilla Pad is the right size for this pool.

5 stars, does exactly what it says and works well. It may not be a "pad" thick enough to really disguise or take care of any major ground problems under the pool but this product isn't for creating a soft cushy bottom its for protecting the integrity of the liner, that it does very well. That being said there is a small element of layering that smooths over rough areas, it feels much better on your feet and for my purposes it works perfectly. I rent at the property I have my pool so bringing in a ton of sand or doing a lot of digging is out of the question. Yes I would love to have Sand under my pool liner but I don't have that luxury. This gorilla pad is the only reason I can have an 18' pool in my backyard because it is the only security I have that any sort of object won't destroy my pool liner and spark the nightmare that is 5,400 gallons of water just hanging out in your yard. With minimal work to the surface I have the pool on, cleared of rocks and twigs, my pool sits on just this pad and a tarp. Living in the Texas summer I couldn't imagine not having my pool to cool down in, this pad makes that much easier for me to accomplish. There is another good thing I'll say about this product and that is it keeps out things that want to grow through the tarp and liner. After the first season of use I did notice several vine and weed like plants that clearly grew through the tarp but couldn't make it through the gorilla pad and that made me happy because I'm sure if I had just thrown down any old material that mother nature would have had its way.

This product has been in use the past two summers and really helps smooth our the bottom of the pool. I have an Intex 18" X 48" metal frame pool. The pool is designed to be installed and removed seasonally. The first year I put the pool in I didn't have this product and could feel protrusions from the rocks which I didn't feel poking up in the yard. While this didn't cause any issues it did weight on my mind. I bought this the following year and made a big difference. There were no noticeable protrusions. At the end of the season I simply laid it on the driveway on a warm dry day or two and it dried out. After that I folded it and stored it for the next year. I also used a tarp which came with the pool the first year, and each year since.
