I broke a rib while batting a couple of years ago and the pain still bothers me sometimes. I have never been comfortable batting wihtout a chest guard since then. This guard seems to be working fine for now but does not seem very durable. How it holds against repeated knocks remains to be seen.

This is a nice piece of kit. Padding is firm and well placed. The covering is nice quality with appropriately strong Velcro for keeping it around your mid-section. I haven’t been hit with this on, but I have no doubt it will provide good padding and protection.

Although this is really for batters to wear while batting to protect themselves from being hit by pitches. I wear mine as a umpire to pretct my ribs from foul balls. This is comfortable and easy to attach and remove.
