Way better than the tensioner that comes with the engine kit. My only complaint is the spring could be a bit shorter, and the hooks are not parallel to each other.

Loctite the bolt that mounts the arm to the plate before applying the nut, else the nut will fall off and you buy a new wheel like me! other than this the item works "perfectly"

A bit thin, but multiple configurations and mounting options make it suitable for various chain driven machines. I have it on a 1000w electric mini bike with #35 chain and it keeps the slack tight fairy well, although the spring could be a bit stronger. I would recommend this tensioner for #35 chain or smaller.

I’ve tried countless different spring tensioners. Many didn’t work from lack of adjustability.This one’s PERFECT!! I’m using a 32T sprocket and it tensions perfect.
