They're true to size, roughly at least. (It's difficult to precisely measure compression springs.) They have a lot of force, I can't press them down all the way by hand. They're about index-finger length.

These springs do the trick if you need this size. They're also resistant to some heat, since I actually had to cut one in half for my application (with a grinder), and the spring rate didn't noticably change. 8 bucks for a 15 pack isn't bad at all. At the store you'll probably pay over a buck a piece.
