Wicks burn in candle nicely

With the price of high quality beeswax candles, I thought I would make my own. This wick works really well! Just be sure to pre-soak it in beeswax first. I get a consistent burn with a pleasant amber glow.

These work in my candles that are 3/4 beeswax and 1/4 coconut oil. I used it in 4oz mason jars with a 2.87in diameter and it doesn’t quite reach. Ordered #5 to try out. But it burns well and easy to use. I coat in beeswax before using.

This wick worked well for beeswax candles. I dipped it in wax prior to pouring the candles. So far have had an even burn with no tunneling.

PremiumCraft Square Braid Cotton Candle Wick - #4Very handy if you are into candle making. This is #4 wick, it is heavier than, those very small birthday candle wicks, by about 3 or 4 times.Works extremely well with those special wick bases that heat the wax, usually will burn almost all ofthe wax in the jar.easy to cut and insert to wick bases of correct size. Fairly sturdy, will stand on its own(with wick base) when wax becomes liquified. For candles meant for long burns, tends not to burn away, has a hot flame. This will hold up but if you add scented wax to an already(if you have enough wick for the additonal wax)but a used candle with added wax may get smoke. It is best to just burn it as is. If you put the fire out for later, Just relight it.In some cases, this produces too large a flame/heat and a smaller wick may be better choice.I do not know the seller nor did I get any money or product for my random review.210528 1424

These are great! But it is tricky to get the right wick size - it's a bit of trial and error because your wax mixture can also affect how they burn. I haven't had any issue with them burning sustained, just troubles with tunneling. I've used size #2 and #4 with beeswax/coconut oil candles. Both were too small for a standard Mason jar opening. #2 is probably best for tea lights, #4 for small jars. I repurposed my #2 into a hanging macrame plant holder, so if you get the wrong size you can always do something fun with the rope!

Great quality! I was really impressed when I opened the package and felt these. I made 4 candles with a pound of beeswax, and these wicks were perfect for the size ratio. I could easily make 20 candles I would estimate, in this size with this one package. Possibly more! Great value all around - price and quality.

I finally got it right! After searching high and low, trying different wicks and all resulting in candle tunneling, I finally found this one and it worked great on my 4 inch diameter candles. It burns all the way to the sides of the jar and there was no smoke nor did it leave the glass jar with black soot. What I found during my (very long) research is that most reviews of candle wicks were made before people actually lighted their candles. I mean, some wicks I tried were really practical, very easy to use, but then they wouldn't burn right: really low flame causing low heat which in turn would cause tunneling, and then the melted wax ends up putting them out... Sooooo, I was really pleased when I tried these ones and they worked great!!! I'm definitely sticking with this wick for my homemade candles I'm planning to give away as Christmas presents.
