Bought for direct drive trainer. Drivetrain Campy Record, shifts as smooth as Record cassette. Highly recommend for training and everyday use.

I purchased this cassette for my 2014 Trek Madone 5.9 which I have not ridden for a few years. I installed a Shimano Ultegra 11 speed chain, then this cassette. I had to fiddle with the cable tension for the rear derailleur for about a half an hour. It would shift, but clunky, noisy and not crisp. The Sram cassette (as I found out) have different spacings between the cogs. The pg1130 is at the low end for Sram cassettes and heavy. Sram does not list them on their website. I'm guessing it is an older model. I sequentially ordered a Shimano cassette installed it, and it works fine. I think the problem is with the indexing. The Shimano Ultegra shifters have different indexing than Sram shifters. I read several reviews about using Sram cassettes with Shimano and most were positive. A few had problems. I guess I was one of the unfortunate ones. It might be a good idea to just stick with a Shimano cassette, they only cost about ten dollars more.

Bigger cassettes are becoming more common, but back when I bought this there weren't many options to go above a 32T. I'm running mine with a SRAM Rival group, so the shifting is perfect (SRAM makes good stuff except for their front derailleurs). I'm using a RoadLink, which was easy to install and hasn't given me any problems.Having the 36T has made a big difference for me. I rarely use it, but it's a life saver when I need it. There's one segment here that's 1.4 miles at 7% that ends with .4 miles at 15.7%. I can ride it with the 32T, but I'm actually faster with the 36T because I can keep my cadence high and not tire out so much towards the end. There are also longer climbs here at shallower grades, and sometimes it's windy or I'm doing a long ride and it's good to save my legs a little bit.

I have installed this cassette in the 11-42t range on two road bikes as part of a conversion to 1x11 drive-train. This is a stellar wide-range cassette for the price. It runs quietly with a SRAM PC-X1 chain and looks good in black (I believe 11-36 and smaller are chrome... the 11-42 is the only one in black currently)Both bikes are built with a Shimano XT M8000 rear derailleur, Wolftooth DropStop 44t Chainring, Shimano 105 road STI shifters (you use a Wolftooth Tanpan to change the cable pull to work the XT derailleur, but I digress)... and the shifting is incredibly smooth and drive-train is quiet through all gears. If I had one complaint, it would be the beefy weight at 538 grams - but considering this part replaced a front derailleur and small chainring, it ends up being closer to the weight a standard road drive-train gains from going to like an 11-36 cassette, Not a big deal. Would buy again.

This cassette has stood the test of time and miles. I am an ultra cyclist who, thus, has to do a high volume of training. In fairness, I am a huge fan of SRAM. This product just reinforces that view. Quiet. Proven. Flawless shifting and great longevity.

what can you say, it's cheap, it's got 11 speeds, and it works. I got this to put on my training wheelset for my CX bike.
