Purchased on 04/03/2023. It's now 10/05/2024, so that's 2 years, 6 months of use. I'm 95% on a bike for routine activities. It may need to be replaced, although I had hoped that this cassette would last a little longer.

I guess I went a little too long replacing the cassette on my 30 year old bike. The chain was slipping a lot and I couldn't get it adjusted correctly. I purchased this, had a bike shop install it professionally, and it's like I have a factory fresh bike again. The gears respond perfect and the chain hasn't slipped at all. Far more economical and less wasteful than buying a new bike!

Seller shipped it quickly. When I opened the package, I was initially "ticked off". Why? I had read a few reviews in which the person writing the review stated that it only had six (6) gears in the package even though the description and the box said it was for a 7-speed. Having already disassembled my bicycle, I knew that the smallest gear was not attached to the rest of the cassette. I decided to open the part anyway, hoping that the "missing gear" was inside the package somewhere. IT WAS THERE! It is attached to the bottom of the gear set. Just undo the "twisty" that holds it there shipping and begin the assembly process.I deducted one star for the durability because this is a factory original part bought to replace the identical part on a 2014 Trek 3500 Disc bicycle. In all of my life, I have ridden many, many, miles on my bicycles, I have never had a gear set had teeth that started to wear down inspire of proper and regular maintenance.Good price, Free shipping (with Prime), and most importantly... the CORRECT PART for a 7-Speed gear set.

This works well with my Shimano drive train, fit my cassette great, but needed a spacer to get set up, which I expected.Teeth seem well cut, and shifts smoothly and precise. I ride mostly groomed trails so I’m not too hard on my parts, but I don’t see any reason this shouldn’t last as long as the rest of my drivetrain components.

I really like this cassette. I had to switch to a cassette for my new rims, went with the Sram Sprocket & an Sram Chain. They work awesome together with my Shimano derailer. Note, had to use a 3.5 Spacer to fit the cassette on a rim made for a 10 speed cassette. The 3.5 Spacer made it all work flawlessly, didnt even have to adjust the derailer.

About every two years on my daily commuter bicycle ( Specialized Hard Rock mountain bike) I overhaul the drive train.I ride about 6000 miles per year on this bike through all four New England seasons. I don't spend an inordinate amount of timemaintaining the mechanicals on this bike and have found that this cassette and the similarly priced Shimano cassettes to last about two years before needing replacement. For me, it's a reasonable balance between price and performance.

Lo tengo puesto en la bici rígida que utilizó para ir al trabajo. Algunos días aprovechó y me hago una ruta corta antes de llegar a casa, da mucha flexibilidad con su amplio rango de piñones.Es plateado brillante, queda muy bien junto con una cadena del mismo color. En el tiempo que lo tengo, unos 4 meses de uso diario, aún no he visto señal de deterioro. Lo recomiendo.

This is a great cassette for the price. I replaced the the OEM cassette (Sunrace I believe) that came with my bike (Cannondale Quick Six). Installation went smoothly with the right tools.I haven't put many miles on this yet, but so far shifting is really smooth, seems noticeably better than the old cassette. I can even shift under a reasonable load, which was hit or miss before. This may be due to the engineered shape of the teeth.I believe the "wobble" that some claim to see is due to the engineered shape of the teeth and gears. I'm skeptical about the reviews that claim some of the gears are "out of true", these are thick steel plates it would take some serious manufacturing failure or applied force to bend them out of shape. Only way I see for an actual wobble is for the plastic spine to be misshapen or for the lockring to not be tightened down enough.

SRAM always gives you a lot for your money and this cassette was no exception. I use their cassettes and chains on my two road bikes and three mountain bikes. I just recently revived my first adult bike which I bought in 1996. It is a 7 speed with twist grip shifters. I have a pretty good set of unused Mavic wheels that was a 9 speed. This cassette, along with a spacer, fit like a charm and really updated the bike. Bottom line, this cassette along with a SRAM chain has the bike shifting like butter and I'm extremely happy with the purchase.
