The key difference with PressFit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. This bottom bracket is designed for spindle cranksets. PressFit 30 for road will require a 68 mm wide shell while PressFit 30 for MTB will require a 73 mm wide shell. Sram BB30 bottom bracket bearing adjuster has narrow Q-factor and more ankle clearance. PressFit cups for lighter weight. It is integrated adjuster. Easy installation.

Recambio original para mis bielas SRAM. Supongo que sería mejor que estuviera acompañado de unas instrucciones de montaje, aunque no es nada complicado.

I broke one of these during install of my 165mm NX crankset, so took the old one off my 170mm crankset to finish the install.Figured I needed one for the 170 if I ever wanted to used it on another build so hopped on Amazon and got one from the warehouse.Received it and immediately noticed it was BROKEN IN 2 PLACES. AMAZON please inspect your warehouse goods. Such a waste of time doing the return.

Used it to preload the Sram Red BB3 0 crankset, the 10 speed one now using on 11 speed system. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it since there are no instructions and you tube videos are not that great. First I used it with the smooth face of the preloader facing the bottom bracket but as soon as I tighten the crankset the crank would bind and barely move, it turns out that the wings of the preloader were touching the outside of the bottom bracket and not the bearings dust cover. So I turned the preloader around with the preloader smooth face now facing away from the bottom bracket, then I tighten the crankset and again it was binding but this time the preloader wings were not touching the bottom bracket, it made no sense. The trick that solved this issue was, to tighten the crankset a little bit and then turning the crankset a few times and repeat this until fully tighten. Now the crankset turns very freely without any play. The preload adjuster is in the extreme position totally away from the bottom bracket and no crankset play.

The swap from the old to the new was easy. Watched a few youtube videos, ordered my 12 point socket, got some park tool performance grease on Amazon and it took about 1.5 hours. Get all your torque specs first and make sure if you have a click torque wrench that it clicks on the counter clockwise direction. Mine didn't and i had to use an old tension bar style that works in both directions. Eliminated a lot of creaks while riding. Easy swap. Also used a small paint brush to apply grease to the inside of the bottom bracket.

I bought the entire GX groupset minus the cassette individually, because I wanted use an NX cassette so I didn't have to replace my hub to XD. Installed all the components and everything works superbly.I had no install issues because I did the necessary research and measurements. You should know your bottom bracket type and measurements, if you are boost or non-boost, which spacers you use and where (all information is available at SRAM) take a digital caliper and measure. Just make sure you watch the videos how to install these products before you purchase the components and try to install the wrong one. Be sure you have a new high quality derailleur hanger. This is not a first time beginner undertaking. Know when you have no idea and ask someone and if you don't know or don't have the right tools, take it to a bike shop. You will need a chain whip, and the right socket and tools to remove your existing cassette, and bottom bracket, and same for installing your bottom bracket. I used an SRAM DUB BSA boost+ bottom bracket 68/72mm. I lucked out because it had the correct spacer for the right side, plus the boost spacer I didn't need.
