I have an old iPad Air 2 that I have been using as a clock in the bedroom. The Command strips failed when I grabbed the wrong cord and pulled it off the wall. The touchscreen shattered. I watched two YouTube videos, and when I could not find a repair place that was staffed more than one worker, I decided to buy this replacement glass. I have no experience in electronic repair, I was able to install this. I was so shocked when the touch screen worked just fine. My IPad clock is up and running again. I put it in a better wall stand from Amazon. Saved myself $99 in repair cost.

Everything arrived as described in a very well padded container. I followed the instructions from a YouTube video with no issues. I was able to lift the cracked screen off with very little breakage. Installed the new screen and reassembled the iPad but the adhesive. Turned the iPad on but swiping would not work. I finally tried it vertical (camera at the bottom), the bottom two keyboard rows would work but not the top. I was able to swipe to the iPad but touching any app symbol would not work. Took it apart and tried reassembling it with the same results. Not sure if I did something wrong….. will try another screen. UPDATE: Second screen arrive today. Tried reinstalling the old severely cracked screen - no luck there. Tried the new screen with the same results. Something else must have gone wrong with the iPad. UPDATE - I have updated the original 3 stars to 5 stars because of the prompt response by sellers and their suggestions for troubleshooting along with the willingness to make it right.

I have just replaced the touch screen on my 2nd generation i pad. This was my first time repairing an i pad using a tutorial from u tube. The job was not to difficult but special tools are a must. The tools that come with the screen do not cover all of the requirements of the job. Lucky for me I had tools that I could adapt for the work. The hardest part of the job was removing the broken old screen, once that was done it took me about three hours to complete the job.

This product is great and repaired my old IPAD2. I am not a tech person at all, so it took me about 2 hours to do it. You need to give yourself a lot of time and to be sure you don't damage some parts on the underside as you take off the glass. IT helps to watch a video on YouTube to help you as you go along. With that being said, other than taking a long time, its easy to do and follow. You do need to make sure the glass is flush against the body of the iPad to let it sit overnight to set, otherwise you may experience ghost tapping on the Ipad. The next morning everything was fine and working perfectly. Thanks for a safe product.
