This kit was about $20 more than the no- name kit available, however after reading the reviews of both kits I bit the bullet and bought this kit and am glad I did. The Super E on my bike was musty, rusty, and crusty. All of the parts are necessary for a "basic" rebuild. There's a bigger kit for a "complete" rebuild, but the S&S carbs are so simple that unless you spot damage to the upper half of the carb, you're good to go with this kit.WATCH YER BALLS! If you're not familiar with the "Super" series, there are two teeny weeny steel balls used as check valves in the accelerator pump area. The kit comes with replacements, but they're so small that if you fat finger them and they get dropped you'll struggle finding them again. It's an easy rebuild compared to the dual and quad carb sets on metrics. We'll worth the money!

Had everything for a complete rebuild. Carburetor functions like new. No more dead spot in the throttle mid-range common with S&S carbs. My 1988 FXST runs like it's fuel injected!

This is just what you need to do a semi over haul on the bottom end of your S&S carb. I needed the accelerator pump springs and ball bearings and couldn't source them otherwise.

Don’t waste your time with Chinese kits as they are junk. The S&S kit is the way to go. The rebuild went smoothly and worked great.

We just bought my wife a used Fat Boy that had been sitting for a couple of years with old gas gumming up the Super E carburetor. New spark plugs, new gas, and some liberal application of Seafoam to the fuel system, and I got it running mostly right, but just couldn't get the idle and the accelerator pump dialed in. I decided to tear down the bottom of the carb and give it a good cleaning. The Seafoam had mostly done its job on the bowl and the jets, but the whole accelerator pump was still gummed up, the pushrod was stuck, and the diaphragm was shot.I only removed the bowl and left the upper carburetor assembly on the manifold, so I didn't use the back plate gasket or the manifold o-ring, but everything else made for a quick and easy reassembly, with all the consumable parts replaced. The accelerator pump diaphragm was slightly different than than the one it was replacing, but it fit just fine. This kit doesn't come with the accelerator pump pushrod, but I was able to get the old one clean enough that it no longer stuck. Bike runs like new, and the throttle hesitation is gone.This kit does not come with everything to do a full rebuild, but if you just need to do a simple cleaning and refresh this should be everything you need. Whole job took less than an hour, including time to give everything a good cleaning.
