SoundStep XL is an economic underlayment choice, providing support for your flooring, with added acoustic benefits. The attached vapor barrier helps to protect your flooring from water damage. It is specially designed to offer superior bond with adhesives, making it a great choice for glue-down installation. With the insulating R-value of 0.24, your flooring will feel warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Crosslink foam underlayments are the industry standard for floating wood and laminate floors. This underlayment will support and maintain the functionality of your flooring for a lifetime. SoundStep XL underlayment can also be used with radiant heat systems such as QuietWarmth, for an extra warm and cozy floor. Crosslink foam will absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms, making click-together/floating floors sound solid underfoot. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from damage when installed over concrete, but it’s also great over wood subfloors. The dense structure supports the seams of your floor and won't compress under consistent foot traffic. SoundStep XL is an inexpensive way to provide support and reduce noise.
