I have a Ride cymbal from this series that sounds like a K Con Medium (low tone, jazzy). So I was surprised that this crash has at least Medium and maybe even Rock feel and sound. Very bright, loud and thick feeling when stricken. Not as expected so it did not meet my needs. But I do realize that these are supposed to be hand-hammered so the sound of a different 17" crash may be different.
