*NOTE TO STAGG**I’ve bought two wall sax holders. They’re great products but…. Both arrived with the little hardware bag ripped open and the screws flying everywhere!I know is a cost saving thing, but spend the extra 2 cents for sturdier bags.

Box had clearly been opened before and a zip tie had been cut and not replaced before being repackaged. Not a huge deal for functionality but disappointed at the apparent dishonesty. I don’t mind buy used products but do not think I should pay for one thing and receive something else.

I don't have any worries at all placing my horn on this thing. Solid as a rock when mounted correctly, intuitive installation.

I used my own dry wall screws. I don’t know if I installed the included dry wall anchors correctly, but they came out of the wall. Great stand once I reinstalled it.

It was so easy to hang my sax on the wall with this hanger. Now it's out of the way from guests tripping over it or my dog and her toys slamming into it. It's sturdy and looks good too.

I bought this to encourage my daughter to play her instrument. Having it on the wall and within easy reach has helped a lot. She has a Yamaha YAS-26 alto sax. This is a good wall mounted stand, and is fairly simple to set up. I installed the mount directly to the wall and into a wall stud for stability and strength. There is adjustability in the mounting rotation which is a good design feature - the bottom screw hole is slotted so the triangular mounting bracket can rotate about the top screw until the bottom one is fully tightened. The sax sits fine in the stand, and is secure, although it didn't seem like it would be at first. One thing I noticed is that for our particular sax, the bottom stand rest is in the same location as the lower key guard attachment point, so the sax has to be rotated a little to fit properly (see the images). It would be good if that lower bracket were slotted also, so it could move up or down as required.Other than that, not a bad price for a decent stand. Now the dulcit tones of Cannonball Adderley's Mercy Mercy Mercy ring through the house at around 7am on a Sunday morning. Bliss.

The stand is solid metal and relatively simple to install. It uses two holes for mounting (on a separate mounting plate). One hole has the purpose of retaining the stand and the other is more like a guide (so you can level the stand after installing). They give you two plastic anchors for mounting, but I didn't trust them. Instead I used a toggle bolt on the retaining hole and a smaller plastic anchor on the guide hole. After installing the mounting plate, screw the stand into the mounting plate and you're good to go.
