PRECAUTIONS FOR THE USE OF STAINED GLASS GRINDER MACHINE：
- Don't grinding metal. If grinding metal, it will damage the grinding wheel and result in can not grinding glass any more.
- Can not grinding without water. Ensure the grinding wheel is wet.
- When using the grinding wheel, with small strength , don't use too much strength. Too much strength will reduce grinding machine and the service life of the grinding wheel.
- In order to prolong the service life of grinding machine, cleaning and add lubricant to the engine shaft, 25 hours after each use, remove all the grinding wheel and the fixed screw.
- If the grinding wheel not be used for a week or longer,it need to grind down on stage to prevent the direct axis stick on. This will help you to develop check engine shaft and wheel maintains a habit.
- After usement, clean the water reservoir. Remove the reservoir, clean up the rest of the residue after grinding.
FIRST TIME USE：
1. If you are a first time user, get the feel of the grinder by turning on the grinder and grinding a piece of scrap glass.
2. After unpacking all components, assemble grinder on a firm level surface to prevent grinder from tilting and rocking.
3. Wear proper apparel. Never wear loose fitting clothes, neckties, jewelry and gloves that may get caught in moving parts.
4. When using, first use light pressure to push the glass into the grinding drill bit and move the glass back and forth on the drill bit. Slowly increase the pressure until you feel comfortable with the grinding speed and your control. You will soon understand the optimal grinding pressure for the type of glass you are using.
5. Stop periodically and check the water level.Grinding without water greatly reduces the life of your grinding bits.
6. Over time, a bit may grind less effectively causing your glass to chip, this is a result of wearing away of the bit' s diamond surface.
7. When this happens, it is time to expose a new portion of the diamond surface. Loosen the set screw using the hex wrench and move the grinding bit up on the shaft to expose a new 1/8" section of diamond.
8. Secure the bit back in place making sure to tighten it against the flat side of the motor shaft.
9. The 1" grinder bit is useful for both drilling holes and intricate grinding. To set up the 1" bit, simply install work surface, then place the 1" bit directly into the top of the shaft making sure the hex screw lines up with the flat side.
Precautions When Operating Glass Grinders：
1. Before inserting the grinder, make sure the power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Always disconnect the grinder from the power outlet before installation or maintenance.
3. The operator should wear a hat or tie his hair to avoid getting caught in, and always wear safety goggles.
4. Do not open the grinder when you touch the drill bit during operation.
5. Please keep this product out of reach of children.
6. Do not leave the grinder unattended and turn off the power when not in use.
7. Please carefully read and follow all instructions.

Note: review written after opening package have not used yetI’ve taken classes at some amazing studios and this was my first purchase for my own studio. I appreciate the price point and how much is included in this package. It’s much smaller than I expected, but that’s fine because I do small jewelry work. The bits are easy to install and remove. I love the safety features with the shield and the safety glasses. It’s nice to have two grinder bits to work with. I am a little concerned that this model doesn’t include a sponge and there isn’t a place to even add a sponge. That’s a first for me. Manual says with this size bit no sponge is needed. I’m skeptical and might drill a spot and add a sponge especially if I use different size bits.Overall I’m happy with my purchase. I’m excited to use it on my first project. I’ll report back on performance once I use it.Update: finally used my little grinder and I absolutely love it! The right amount of water splashes up to keep the grinder wet and the glass cool so I was worried over nothing. I used it for an hour solid making little gems from destroyed Corelle plates. I marked where I wanted to grind with Sharpie and waited for the sharpie to dry. I didn’t have issues with the sharpie coming off like with some models with a lot of splashing water. The grinder did exactly what I needed it to do. Best money spent. Even if it dies prematurely, it was that much cheaper than the expensive models that I would not regret this purchase.

Great little machine. Not a five star because it's my fault for pushing too hard and it gets gummed up with plastic from the grinder. Otherwise, its solid.

Compact and portable, this is the perfect little grinder. Works very well, and I love all the extras it comes with. My only concern is that it says no sponge needed, but my manual says don't use it without a sponge. But I test-drove it without a sponge and it worked great!

I was really excited for this grinder but upon receiving it and plugging it in, the fuse immediately burned out. I double checked the voltage specs on the machine and the outlet, and it did not make any difference and another fuse burned out. Even went and bought more fuses to troubleshoot with no difference. I suspect something is wired incorrectly within the machine. Disappointed.

High quality, most complete package for someone wanting to try the stained glass art hobby. Absolutely a quiet running macine with a one-touch button for ease of use. This package includes eyewear, gloves, standard copper grinder. I wondered what the paint brushes were for...until I started cleanup after doing sone glass cutting/grinding. I found them uuseful for sweeping up the smaller glass pieces and dust. This package gets an "A" rating from me! The only thing I wish was made better is the back and side wall protector. It is too small in height to be majorly effective. A much higher wall/barrier would do a better job at keeping the work surfaces clean. I will have to create a higher wall going forward.
