Impressed by the quality of not only the step material but the hardware too. I did have to buy a couple slightly longer bolts to go through my hull but no hog deal. The step is approximately 1 inch thick very solid composite material with a nice gel coat finish on top. Did not come with instructions but everyone is going to have a different installation experience due to hull variations. I assembled mine and propped it up on a step stool to figure out my positioning for my boat. I think it came out very well. Very solid step

I bought a used boat last winter. The boat did not come equipped with a ladder and my plans are to use it for swimming, skiing, and pulling a tube. I ordered this WerkWeit ladder and I was surprised by the thick sturdy platform and the substantial feel of the stainless steel handle, ladder, and support. The step treads are sturdy and fold up out of the way for when the boat is under way. In my particular case, I found that the transom height of my boat will require installing both the handle and the support strut on the top of the platform. This is going to take a bit of extra time to get it done right. I will submit an edited review after I complete the installation. I'm giving it four stars at this point based on the quality of the components.Edited 5-19-24: Finished the installation and it came out great (see pics). I sealed all my below-the-waterline bolts with sealant. This now goes from four stars to five!

bolts don match, platform dont close properly and hits the transome.poor design.
