- To use the ruler, simply line the ruler up so that the increments are the same on both outside edges of the object your are measuring. Make your mark at the center point and there you have it! It literally takes seconds to find center with this super easy to use ruler.
- The ruler is made 1mm thick stainless steel and flexes just the right amount for most any project while still remaining rigid enough so its not flopping all over when in use. Starting from “0” in the middle of the ruler, the scale is in 32nds.
- The ruler may also be used as a standard type ruler with the 16th scale on the bottom side. This makes the center finder ruler even more versatile. The Center Finding Ruler is available in 12” and 24” sizes, which are both sold separately.

Finding the center of things used to be hard. Math from 6th grade I’d long forgotten. Now it’s easy. I used this centering ruler three times this morning alone on a bookbinding project. No math. I could have skipped 6 th grade…😺

This ruler is really handy to easily find the center of various work pieces. Woodpecker offers a centering ruler, but you could buy quite a few of the flat rules for what the red Woodpeckers costs. Will be using this ruler for years to come.

This is a helpful tool. that said, I think either a notch or small hole for a mechanical pencil mark at the center would be helpful for easily marking center. Also, as a general purpose ruler, my vote is always for the edge of the ruler to be 0 or 12, instead of the slight offset, but that my be persona preference.

Although there was a slight burr on the bottom at one corner a little sandpaper fixed that. This really helped with a recent project.

I needed a shorter center finding ruler and this one works great .I highly recommend center finding rulers if you have never used one it makes things a lot easier..

I work with raw polymer clay and find it necessary to divide canes to create designs. Some people say they can eye clay and cut it "close enough", but since polymer clay can be costly, I find measuring for the center each time is quicker and easier than missing the mark.This is a 12" ruler. You can measure up to 6" on each side. Most polymer clay projects I make do not exceed 12" total, so this ruler works great.It is a heavy duty metal ruler - a good buy in my opinion.
