This would have rated 4 stars but for a few things.1) it's weight is 2pounds 11 ounces, so a bit less than 2.7 pounds, not the "substantial 4 pounds" as claimed2) It's mainly stainless. The barrel is, some smaller parts are. The body, axel, stand and end plug are steel. This will affect its use outdoors as they are just lightly zinc plated. The body is however well painted.3) The stand that sets the angle can allow the recoil to hit the ground if aimed slightly high and the rings are unpredictable as to when they will hit on recoil unless secured.4) No instructions! The last one is a big issue for me. This is designed to launch firecrackers, and lets face facts, that is not exactly a "safe" activity. There are no instructions, warnings, not even a size requirement as a maximum for the firecrackers. What happens if the firecrackers are too big? What procedure do you use if there is a misfire? There are no interlocks for the retaining end to hold the compression forces in and no clear instruction on how to check if it is closed correctly etc.The product on the plus side is well made, looks great and is a fun conversation starter. I'll be replacing the mild steel parts with SS to prevent rust, do some safety checks on it before using them but as I am not the manufacturer, I can't publish how to ensure you use this safely. You'll have to work that out for yourself. Just do it carefully and treat it as a firearm.
