Beautiful piece of work. It is a nice upgrade from a plain chrome neck plate for a budget Tele build.

I have several "Partscaster" Fender basses. I only use genuine Fender parts but put them together the way I like them. I love P-bass bodies with J-bass necks, a la "Duck" Dunn and his mid-70's "Jazz-Cision" (see my pics). The J neck fits my hand a little better. Needless to say, when I ran across these I decide to try them on my basses. Granted, the Fender Custom Shop did not do these, but as far as I'm concerned, these are absolutely "custom" Fender basses built by Lil' Ol' Me.And I must say these neck plates are well done. They look and feel high quality and fit perfectly. Really adds a nice touch to the instrument. Just got them so I can't give any idea as to how well they hold up (thus only 4 stars for the stability rating), but I can say that they look great and nothing to indicate that they won't last just as long as standard Fender neck plates.Bottom line, if you want to add a nice custom upgrade, this will certainly do it. Definitely recommended.

Expensive for a guitar neck-plate. But the one I received is super cool. Man does it complete the job, and make your guitar different, and custom! If that's what you're into... this is a great item. I always have a couple guitar projects going, and I just finished building out a Strat / parts-caster. Used a Squier faded black-burst body... and threw a Fender maple neck on it. Used this Fender custom neck-plate on it. Gray and Black effects... and man does it look cool ! I dig it.

I'm really impressed with the look of this plate. The one I got is engraved, so I can't speak to what the printed ones look like. This one is sturdy and looks amazing on a tobacco sunburst body. The plastic plate underneath is slightly wide and juts over the edge of the body, so it's possible that you might feel it if you're playing really high on the neck. I'm not worried about that, personally. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality.

I ordered the #5 design in Black/Silver and it looks great on my MIM Jaguar. It is a little thinner than the original but comes with a plastic mounting plate which makes it about the same thickness. I may remove the plastic plate and see how it feels without it. I ordered some official Fender screws in black for use instead of the ones that come with the plate. The included screws seem like they are the same size as what are installed but unthreaded near the head.The custom plate is nicely made and really stands out from the standard chrome and will match the knobs, tuners, bridge and tremolo I am installing. I think this is the best plate option if you are looking for something other than the factory plate and you are going for a custom look. Too bad it is on the back and not something everyone will notice. Some were complaining that some of the plates are printed on, the photos and descriptions tell you what ones are engraved and what colors are printed. It should be common sense you can only get certain colors with a laser and pick the plate that has what you want. I like the #5 design in the silver/brown, black/silver and black/copper. I look forward to ordering more in the future.

Nice addition to the partscaster I'm building.The supplied screws have a wider outer diameter than the standard holes pre-drilled in a Fender strat body so will have to buy additional screws or drill out the body.

Pretty simple perfect fit a little thicker than the original used it for a vintage modified 70s squire strat to give it an even more classic look. It was very easy to put on just watch a youtube video youll be fine. The black backplate adds a nice touch i have silver and black hardware so that worked out. I felt that the screws they gave me weren't as good as my originals. I did not use them. I think this product is a bit overpriced but thats probably because its laser etched. Adds a nice touch without seeming like you are trying to pass your guitar off for something more expensive. Here are some pictures.
