These will get the job done, but they are not the greatest. Balance is alright, leg spread decent, weight is a little light, but they are double braced (though lightweight). They will get you off and playing, and at ~$130 for the pair, slightly less than more heavy duty stands...but I might save up the little extra to get something sturdier.

Nice and lightweight. Easy to find the adjustment points in the gear tilter. These are not tall stands but get tall enough for the standard kit and setup. This is a combo straight stand that can be converted into a boom stand, which is handy for the gig with the smaller stage. I would compare these to a cheaper PDP stand or a cheaper SONOR cymbal stand. The included cymbal hardware felts and nice and rigid and are standard quality. Overall they are priced a little higher than comparable stands in this quality range at $129 for the pair at the time of this review. They are a little lighter and thinner than my Pearl hardware but still seem to be built well. If you are a touring drummer, lighter is better but these are probably closer to good quality entry level cymbal stands. I've paid more for worse stands and Ive paid less for better stands. This being a 2 pack makes it a good starting point if you just need stands and don't really need top of the line. They don't look cheap and look just fine next to my pearl hardware and seem to function well. If you want something thick and heavy, you may want to look for a different option. They are good supplemental stands.

These are heavy duty cymbal stands. I'm really impressed by the quality and sturdiness of these. I'd buy them again

The top arms were jammed tight and they appeared to initially be straight up vertical stands. With considerable twisting they un-jammed and they are indeed boom stands. Now with a tiny bit of WD40, they're great. Sorry for the confusion.

Needed a couple more stands fory new cymbals and these are great. The quality is nice and they set up in a minute. Highly recommend.
