Works great fixed my dimming issue. It is a different color. Mine is a green when all my other ones are an off white.

Easy replacement for stock switch... takes just a few minutes to replace. In my case, the dimmer switch had quit working on the original switch. The new switch works, but the dimmer is not smooth - it is sort of 'jumpy'- and as other reviewers have mentioned just does not seem to be the same quality as original. However, it does work and I am going to keep it; just was not quite as nice as I had hoped. Did not make the display as bright as I hoped on full bright setting.

Bought this because the new Gm ones don't have the LED back lights anymore and it works like a charm. My dash lights were dimming and if you pushed on the faceplate of the switch they would stay bright for a while and then go out again. I took it apart and cleaned it and put new dielectric on the contacts but the surfaces are wore out and it only worked a short while. This went in very easy as shown in utube videos and works as a original did. Very happy with it so far.

The Standard Motor Products HLS-1048 Multi-Function Switch was easy to install and very close to the OEM part. The light color is different than the other dash lights and the feel of the switch isn't as smooth as factory, but I am happy with the purchase.

Great product, works well! Took about 3 minutes total to install. The only differences with this item versus the OEM part is that this one has a greenish backlight color, whereas the OEM backlighting is white, and this one lacks the 'dome light on' feature when you rotate the dimmer wheel all the way up. For the money this is a good way to go!

slightly different color and the lights are a little different color than the rest of the dash - but my old one did not light up so I didn't even know I was missing that. the thumb wheel on my original switch was loose so the dash lights would go out by themselves, this switch plugged right in and fits perfect, works great
