Got this for my 2001 Ford Ranger. It is an identical part to the old one. On the 4.0 engine it is right up against the firewall. When replacing, do yourself a favor and pop the tube off of both and snap the old one on this new part. It's easier than trying to get the small hoses off in such limited space.

This is not even close to fitting my Excursion. Not sure why it says it does. I will say this, it seems like a well made product. Gave it 5 stars for quality.

PCV replacement on a 2002 Mazda Tribute V6 3.0 with 99kmiThere are a lot of great online resources to help walk you through this maintenance item replacement. Some videos have you unhooking cables but I only had to remove the accordion air hose and air filter cover to get access from the driver side of the engine and then gently pull off the articulated pcv hose from the final hose/boot covering the pcv. I then used a long reach long nose pliers to gently pull off the hose/boot that was over the pcv (gentle but steady pressure was all that was needed to remove the final hose/boot), and to grab the old pcv once I unseated it from the engine. The hose/boot is sitting on a blue shop cloth in one of the pics shared.I was able to place a small (one of those free Harbor Freight) flashlight on a radiator hose so I could see the area/opening. From the pics I took you can see that is provided adequate lighting.I had also heard about using a 3/4" 12 point socket trick to twist left to remove the pcv and used part of a blue disposable shop cloth to securely seat the new pcv valve in the socket so it stayed secure as I positioned it back into the engine and turned it gently to the right to seat it. Worked perfectly!I used a 1/4", 10" + 4" connected ratchet wobbly extension to Remove and install the pcv. I used a ratchet just to gently unseat the pcv(counter clockwise)Part looked exactly the same and installed w/o issue.Good luck with yours!
