Tried to save some money and just swap the voltage regulator. This did not change anything and the alternator still overcharged to 19 volts! Yikes! I ended up just getting a new alternator and that solved the problem

Hello I bought that voltage regulator for my f150 V8 5.4L once I installed the part, it doesn’t worked. So bad!

I wanted a Voltage Regulator + Brushes, but this was just the regulator sans brushes.

Bought this for a 2000 Ford Expedition with an upgraded 200 amp alternator. I've had pulsing interior and exterior lights for a few months and suspected the voltage regulator may be faulty. I swapped this in for the old one and it did not solve my issue however it worked like it should. I knew this before buying it but it does not come with anything holding the brushes in. A paperclip and a few minutes will solve this though. Installation is easy and so far it has lasted 4000+ miles. I've never had issues with Standard Motor Products and will continue to buy from them.
