Did not fit my jeep. Very disappointing since we were in the middle of an oil change and since our small town, doesnt keep much in stock, just had to put the old one back in. Not good!

oil leak...bad bad oil leak.very common on all GM engines. This baby fit perfectly & fixed the leak.Remember to never never use pliers or vicegrips to screw this baby in.these are made of thin metal & any squeeze will mash it out of round & it will leak.Get the right tool to install it or you will be wasting your money

the part fit as hoped in my 97 Plymouth Breeze. The electrical connector was tighter than the original, but that is fine.

The first time the oil light came on I was distraught. I pulled over thinking one of my children forgot to check the oil frequently enough. This is a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country with 207000 miles (all original everything - great van for us). I use Amsoil, so I only change the oil once per year and it was not burned or like sludge so I figured false alarm. It got progressively worse. I started looking at oil pumps and realized I didn't want to start there. Googled it and got a bunch of hits for the sensor. Took about 5 minutes to replace. Despite the youtube video I still broke the retainer on the wire bundle, my bad. The part works great.

This is a perfect replacement oil pressure switch for a defective or leaking OEM unit. When mine failed. it indicated a low oil pressure warning once the oil was warmed up and the engine was at idle in gear (automatic transmission). This switch is supposed to indicate low pressure at anything below 7 PSI and when they fail they usually indicate low at a higher pressure " 20 PSI or so". A good tell for a switch on the way out is oil seeping from around the metal base of the switch into the connector area. If your switch is leaking change it. Chances are if you have this switch you don't have a real oil pressure gauge. My Jeep uses this with an analog gauge, the gauge is not a real gauge it simply indicates 3/4 scale when the oil pressure is present and 0 PSI when there is not oil pressure. I have since installed a real oil pressure gauge for piece of mind.
