Absolutely love this vise. Between other competitive options for an extremely more amount, this satisfies me needs and is perfect for tinkering. Cannot say enough good about it. The ball stays tight enough for a human to pry on something, and it maneuverable enough to make it comfortable. No problems as of now. Been using for about a month.

Purchased the vice at an amazing price for a brand tool of this versatility, functionality & performance. Adjustable to a large range of positions, grips securely & comes with rubber jaw covers. Very satisfied.

I thought it was a bit pricey, but after testing it out (it was purchased as a gift) I was impressed and decided it was worth it. I'll buy another one for me.

I say this is a good vice but it's probably a great one. This thing is solid. The ball joint, where it 360 pivots is a little bit stiff after loosening the screw to adjust it but that's not a gripe at all. It's not a heavy duty vice so don't go bearing down on it too aggressively or else it and/or the piece you're working on will slip. It's small enough to fit in fairly tight spaces and portable enough to put a out of the way when you don't need it. I'm honestly considering buying another one. Great product for the money.

This vise is very nice for the price, it's very smell but very sturdy with a solid design.First glance: I noticed the ball joint, threaded rod, and guide pins were quite dry with a very light machine oil applied so I disassembled the unit degreased it then liberally coated the metal on metal contact points, the ball joint, the threaded rods, and the guide pins with moly grease:1. Unscrewing the threaded rod all the way releases the front jaw half.2. Using a size 2 slotted screwdriver you can gently pry the circlip from the threaded rod shaft which releases the threaded rod from the jaw assembly.3. Unscrewing the smaller spring/washer retained bolt and the two larger phillips screws frees the ball joint clamp assembly. There is no bushing or bearing to take the load of the guide pins so i filled the jaw half cavities with moly grease and after assembling the unit i wiped off all the excess that built up and degreased the jaw halfs so now the unit is built more accordingly to last a lot longer.I'm looking into designing some bushings and guide pin bearings to print with my 3d printer to see if i can make the jaws stay aligned and not wobble.Overall its a great vise and i've needed a vise for decades but dont have a proper solid table that would be suited for bolting a big solid vise, this is a hobby vise that is mobile and is perfect for my airsoft gunsmithing.5/5 would recommend to anyone, I'd also suggest mirroring my actions to degrease clean and grease the unit with a proper grease designed for metal on metal contact that will reduce wear ultimately prolonging the longevity of the vice, I know it's only £22 but a bit of rust or uneven wear or galling would ruin things quickly.

Do I need another vice not really. However, I saw this on the video about taking care of Japanese knives which I've gotten into and did intrigued me. This is not a heavy duty device for serious metal hammering however, it's an extremely intriguing product as the base is on some kind of ball and socket, which allows for a crazy amount of angles and adjustments it's lightweight yet very sturdy for most medium to light duty tasks. I use it the whole things that I'm either filing or sharpening or polishing or sanding. I'm pushing pretty hard and this thing has yet to slip. Have to say I'm more than happy and it saves me a lot of time having to gerry rig wood clamps or be confined to where my heavy duty vice is mounted. I can quickly just pull this thing out and pretty much mounted on any stable service and it's got pretty good rubber protection so I don't have to worry about damaging things.

This is a quality vise, but you should not expect it to work for heavy metal bashing jobs. For smaller jobs it is plenty strong enough. I found that the adjustability to almost any angle is particularly useful. All in all, it is a fun tool to use.

I bought this specifically for use as a gun vise as it is much less expensive than other products for that use. I've used it to mount 3 scopes and 1 red dot. It works perfectly and is so much more of a stable platform than I thought it would be for its size.

Purchased on a whim, so glad I did. It’s solid, really strongly made, not a cheap plastic vice this thing GRIPS. Great to hold parts while drying, or parts needing a third hand. Flexible positioning, 360 degree movement, strong grips, rubber jaw covers included for softer items. Nice groove in jaws for pipe holding. Solid make. I can see this lasting years.
