Just the right size on a small campfire for heating up a 1 liter pot of water. I had to file down the sharp barbs at the ends of the steel wire grate. Some were very sharp and cut holes in the carry bag that I stow the grate in.

Only thing missing is a carry bag, but otherwise it's a perfect thing to throw into your pack.

This thing works great over a fire just make sure to prop some rocks on the legs and bring a rag to move it off the flame

This little grill packs away quite nicely and is pretty well built. Some people having issues are putting this over a gas flame and that's not what this is intended for. This is meant to be used over a hot bed of coals, not even a full blown fire. If used properly and taken care of, there's no reason it wouldn't last for years with little to no issue.

This grill folds flat and when I used it on an open fire it worked amazing. This is a very well made grill and the legs are sturdy and stable. This grill is sold and great to cook on. I little bit heavy but perfect for grilling all your meals. Great for canoe camping and car camping and any other outdoor adventures you might be on. Thanks

So far after using this three times on a trip I’ve made dinner and breakfast and also boiled water for coffee on this rack for a total of maybe 2 1/2 hours on a fire and honestly it works great I put a toaks 750ml pot on it for water and a 6” pan for cooking a small steak on it it was sturdy and I did keep the flames low so so grill wasn’t in them for the price it was worth it and it saves me from putting my pots and cups on the coals and getting them chard it is alittle heavy but worth the weight to carry next I’m doing trout in tin foil with butter and bacon inside. It should be no problem with this grill it’s worth the money

Es buen producto, buena relación precio-calidad, sólo que es algo chico (pero si son las medidas señaladas en la descripción).

Pros:Solid and works wellSeems well built (not easily twisted or bent)Folds up smallCons:A bit heavy (may take legs off and just use grill portion to see how much weight is saved)Not weavedDoes not come with any way to storeOverall this is cost effective for what you get. Folds up really small and will slide just about anywhere in your pack. Have not used the digital scale for an exact weight but it does feel heavier than I would like. Went with his over the "bushcraft" grill everyone is getting these days because of the extra size and legs. The other type once you prop up you get very little cooking space. With this you get about twice the space. Even with taking the legs off I think you will get tons of extra space propping up on logs or rocks. The top being straight lines and not weaved could pose a problem with some types of food falling through depending on what you're cooking but for me its mostly thick meat or aluminum foil meals when I camp so this will do just fine. Some sort of heavy cotton pull tie bag would have been nice. Will make one on my own but would have paid the extra couple bucks for that to be included.

This was the perfect solution to my problem. I have a small cast iron griddle I used on paddle trips over an adjustable flame dual burner camp stove. That stove's fuel bottles were discontinued (Coleman Powermax), so I needed a way to use the griddle over an MSR. The grill grate is just the right height to keep the griddle from getting raging hot and the size matches its dimensions! Plus, it folds down to almost nothing and slides right in my kitchen dry bag. I can hardly wait to test it in the field next week!

Bought this pack grill for exactly what the name implied, to put in a pack to take on a short section hike and camp. This grilling grate isn't inconveniently large and worked perfect. The two end leg pieces fold out and are held in place by basically over extending beyond 90 degree relative to the grilling area. As a result of this design, the grill grate felt rigid and secure. I wasnt worried that the grate was going to wobble and fall over. The plastic bag that the pack grill comes in is also worth keeping. Don't just rip the package open if you decide to purchase. If you cut one end open you can use the bag as a simple storage cover for the grill grate and avoid getting any dirt/grease on your gear. I took this out on an overnight hike and camp and stashed it in an exterior mesh pouch on my pack. We cooked four steaks on it and boiled water for breakfast the next day. Sits at a nice level (about 6-7 inches) above the ground when setup. This made for a very nice cooking platform over coals or small logs still on fire. For the price of this product, you can't go wrong even if you only use the thing once or twice. Definitely recommend!
